Oz Blue Deuce Posted September 19, 2013 Report Share Posted September 19, 2013 We bought a 2012 dodge journey R/T, we love the car and MOPAR however the CD player came up with a disc error after we had it for about 9 months. It is under warranty so they replaced the unit, and now the second one has done the same thing within 3 months!!!! The first time was a purchased CD, the second one was a DVD, both of these were not burnt copies. They are going to replace it again but worried it might just keep happening. We just took delivery of MY2014 Dodge Journey hours ago and found the CD/DVD player was not taking any disc at all and comes up as "Disc Error" all the time. Dealer has promised to fix it in a day or two, hopefully it gets resolved. What a hassle to receive a new car with player not working. aussiedodgejourney Posted May 10, 2014 Report Share Posted May 10, 2014 it would be easier for your to buy one new one (after market) and get it installed, that way you'll have warranty as well. It seems, these units were not made with better components to begin with, I see lot of people having similar issues for Chrysler made cars. I would take some canned air and blow it out first as it could be just dust like I had in one of my Caravans.
