Journey13_SXT Posted February 19, 2013 Report Share Posted February 19, 2013 I am going to install an overhead dvd player in my 2013 SXT, but I want to relocate the rear overhead AC controls prior.. (swap the rear dome light with the controls) similar to this youtube link My only problem is that I can't figure out how to remove the dang ac control box. (Don't want to break it) and the dvd install is easy! Done them before. If anyone can help with removal or pictures to diagram how to unclip, without damage I would appreciate the help. Mcgusto82 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Share Posted February 19, 2013 I like the idea. When I installed my overhead dvd at the back, I didnt have to or needed to relocate the controls. Seems like its only a good idea if you're installing a big screen. Mine is a 9" and theres no obstruction. I can even see out my rear mirror. Was thinking of leaving the controls alone, but the best location for the DVD player is right where the controls are... So I figure it best to relocate and still have the Climate controls available.
