COsxt Posted June 2, 2025 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2025 Thanks for the diagrams. It’s weird that some sites/ places label the radio unit as the telematics gateway module. There is an actual telematics gateway module located somewhat behind/ under the steering wheel. But I’ve also read that that module is responsible for Bluetooth communications more or less. I’d think I can rule out the radio unit as I tried a replacement and had the same exact issues. I’m leaning towards the touch screen/ ICS. COsxt Posted July 19, 2025 Author Report Share Posted July 19, 2025 Welp, got tired of chasing the issue and took it to an auto electrical shop that specializes in electrical diagnostics and they found the problem… the heated seat module was shorted out, almost looked melted a little, and was stopping the can bus communications. Simply unplugged it and all is good. Radio comes on when in RUN as well as hvac controls. If anyone is having can bus issues it might be worth checking.
