rossco Posted August 14, 2018 Report Share Posted August 14, 2018 Hi there, I'm new to the forum so firstly hello to everyone :D I have a Dodge Journey in my hands at the moment I'm having trouble with and I'm hoping I can find some suggestions here... The vehicle is a journey 2.0 crd 2008 automatic, the problem is when the gas is pushed the engine rpm does not increase but it does run a bit rough and stutters when you do. I have so far run diagnostics with a decent machine but only found transmission codes which seem to be old, there were no engine codes at all. So my first action was to replace the gas pedal/apps with a known to work used one but this has made no difference it's reacts the same when pushing the gas. I have now removed the anti shudder valve or electronic throttle body if you like and cleaned it out but it appears to move freely and smoothly.
