2009 RT Posted December 5, 2009 Report Share Posted December 5, 2009 Hello All, This is my first post. With 30,000K I exited the highway and stopped at a red light. While at the intersection, i noticed a small amount of whitish smoke from under the hood. This has been noticed intermittently for the past 2 months. I have put on about 7000kms since and my check engine light has come on so I brought it in to the dealership. Dealership diagnosed as following: a bad right side PTO oil seal , causing the oil to drip and smoke on my hot exhaust. I was down about 1 liter of fluid. This lit up my Check engine light and prevented my factory remote start from working. Dealership explained that my remote start system would start working after the oil seal job was done and the fluid level was topped back up.
