  1. no errors at all, sorry kind of got busy and completly forgot about this thread
  2. sweet, found it thanks, lol as usual the thing i was looking for was clearly labeled and right in front of my face
  3. So, went and drove around for an hour last night trying to find a spot to see the northern lights (didnt see them) but more importantly got my first real test of the lights. They are bright, brighter then what i first thought. I would say they are about 75% as bright as my HID kit i had on my 300 and only 75% because of the reflector housing not focusing the light. I got flashed once which brings me to a question. Is there a way to aim the headlights? i have looked for screws and online for info but i have not been able to find anything
  4. Ok so i have found out something lights that's just stupid in one way but good in another. the bit that locks into the socket bloody well rotates. so once the light is locked in the first time (was easy to do once) its damn near impossible to take out. i managed to get my drivers side removed but the passenger side is pretty much in there until i find a trick to remove it without taking the headlight off of the car. so if anyone has experience with headlights that rotate once installed please let me know what im missing in getting it removed. But on the plus side to it rotating you can sharpen the beam easier. EDIT, so i just got a reply from there tech support saying that they are indeed not supposed to rotate, they asked for a video of the problem which i sent in so i am awaiting a responce. on a plus note i managed to get them out of the car lol EDIT 2, replacements are in the mail
  5. yeah me either really lol, the one odd thing about the bulbs is once they are locked in they just rotate in the socket... i have a email in to there support staff now asking how i actually remove the bulbs, never thought i would have to ask how to remove a headlight but hey first time for everything.
  6. just posted pics, there potato quality, taken with a phone but here they are http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/gallery/album/245-led-low-beams/ they are bright, there is a hotspot infront of the car about the same throw distance as halogen (stock) but brighter

    LED Low beams

few pics showing LED low beams for 2014 journey
  8. From the album: LED Low beams

taken with a phone, its not nearly this bad at all when viewing head on
  9. Ok, so an update, they came! but im also in the middle of dipping my wheels so i cant move the car to get a shot of them in the underground parking yet. The install took 10 mins (cramped low beam space to work with and i have small hands) :S so yeah, not much to say about them as of now other then they work
  10. there is the one pic in the main post of the thread its on imgur. The issues i had were probably my fault, and not being careful enough? removing the excess from around the edges and dealing with the damn font they chose lol the E's are a pain to get the dip out from. I followed the manufactures steps exactly 3 times and it either didnt stick right or did not tear at the seams. So i went with my own way of doing it and only waited 5 mins between coats (out of frustration) and being a bit more paranoid while removing excess and that seemed to work.
  11. It took 2 days and 3 failed attempts but i finally got it done lol, still need to clean out a few letters but it was getting too dark and my desire to do something else was too high, so thats tomorrows work
  12. will have to do that from now on, lol just so used to throwing everything in the back
  13. 2014 crossroad and i dont think there are any in mine, will have to check tbh i haven't spent much time in the back looking around

    Bag hooks

Well i love everything about the journey so far, well except one thing. The lack of bag hooks in the back lol. I had a 300 before this and never knew how much i used them until Lessons learned so i went to put groceries in the back and heard them sliding around all the way home. Lessons learned so far, don't buy a 24 case of coke and a loaf of bread.. R.I.P bread we hardly knew how full you once were and now your flat.
  15. if you look at the oracle bulbs the baseplate is the same, so i'm guessing there is a fan in them as well. they have the same driver box, same connectors, same baseplate. im betting they are the same light with a modified heatsync with everything else being identical
  16. i did not call but i went to the duncan's dealer webpage and it dosnt look like they sell that type of thing. and aside from the heat sync being different on the oracle product they look identical to the lifetime and gtr lighting products. Either way they are ordered and should be here.. well when they get here i guess shipping USPS ground
  17. So an update, i got the email today that my order had been received but the product was on backorder for 2 - 3 weeks. so i called them and canceled my order at which point i found this site https://www.lifetimeledlights.com/led_lights/led_headlights_9006_single_beam so at this point i know at least 3 company's who sell this product and they are all rebranded. the price difference is pretty big too$200 for oracle and 140ish for lifetime. so im putting in my order for lifetimes bulbs and standard shipping (no other shipping options are available for Canada, but i have a email into them asking if its possible)
  18. light scatter is for any bulb that's in a reflector style housing. If you have projector housings its not a issue as there is a sharp cutoff of light.
  19. Yeah it should be easy, from the looks of it no extra power needs to be run its just the driver box that needs to be tucked away and the bulb, there going into stock reflector housings so thats why i did not go HID (i have a kit right here that will fit the car, but i dont want to be "that guy" blinding people) so we will see how these deal with light scater
  20. just ordered, will post picks in a few days ($100 shipping for 2 day delivery?!?! damn teaches me for ordering after a few beer)
