  1. I was just curious on what people did for headlights. I use to have a retrofitting job, so it's not new to me. Only perma headlights I have done were my Fusion and I cut them open. Thanks for the info though.
  2. Contact oemautoparts.com. They helped me a lot. More than likely it won't be compatible. I just took my regualr radio and put in a non nav one and added back Up cam.
  3. Oh yea I bet wiring is a pain. However if the housings fit, wiring can usually be managed in some fashion.
  4. Will the 2011+ LED taillight assemblies fit a 2009? Thanks
  5. You can get a pair on ebay shipped for between $170-$180 for TYC. They also have some Eagle Eye which I have dealth with in past and have had success, but that was for a different car.
  6. So a few days ago my wife and I bought her a DJ. It has the basic radio head unit, but does have the bluetooth. I want to upgrade that head unit to the RBZ touchscreen so I can add a back up camera. Does anyone know if this is a direct, comatible swap? Thanks. PLEASE NOTE I HAD A TYPP IN THE THREAD TITLE....RADIO IS AN RBZ THAT I WANT TO PUT IN
  7. I have used TYC in past for customers. My main concerns are going to be longevity of the lens and the plastic in the housing. In past aftermarket ones melt really easily when I open them. Where is the best place to pick up a pair of the TYC?
  8. I usually find a broken cheapo headlight on eBay to experiment with on best way to cut open and to understand how to remove reflector housing. Not sure on your state, but in Missouri, more than 4 driving lights is illegal. So having headlights and fog lights and adding something behind grill wouldn't fly here.
  9. That's what my research shows. I did have a few members at HIDPlanet say it wasn't though. I would rather heat open, but don't always have that option.
  10. I plan to retro the Journey I just got for my wife. My car had permasealed lights and had to be cut open. Biggest issue is dust. To close I used CA glue, black silicone II and aluminum duct taping.
  11. Well about 2 years ago my wife and I test drove a DJ and loved it. However, we needed something larger for 3 kids as my wife was pregnant at the time. Now that baby is older and out of pumpkin seat and daughter is bigger and in a booster, we got rid of the van for a 2009 Journey SXT. I consider myself a modder as I make many changes to my cars and plan on doing the same to the DJ. Looking forward to learning from people here. List of stuff to do: -Add back up camera and in dash navigation unit -retrofit headlights -add fog lights -plasti-dip rims -tint front windows
