  1. I guess my DRLs would still be the high beams @ 80%.  We are thinking the same way because I was going to get a set of SilverStars and replace the bulbs that come with them.  I'll look for the zXe bulbs if I decide to do this.  I put a set of these halogen projectors on my Nitro and the light cut off at the top was horrible and I could never get used to the blue halo at the top of the light cutoff.  I even had the Body Shop at my Dealer professionally aim them, and they still sucked.  They would look cool with my Crossroad black grill, but I'm torn.  Can you take a picture at night with the low beams on, aimed at your garage door or something similar?  Thanks.  Oh, where are the parking lights?  The eBay sellers have good front and back pictures also.  May I asked how much you paid?  $330 is the lowest price on eBay.  There is a used set for $300 and a set in China for almost $800!

  2. I found a set on eBay and the seller seems clueless.  My DRLs are the high beams @ 80%.  They run off the CanBus, so there is no separate wire for them.  Are the DRLs still your high beams?  Also, the row of clear LEDs light up as amber turn signals.  Is this their only function?  How did you wire the white planks?  The eBay seller said that I could wire them as DRLs, but I don't think that is possible.  I thought that maybe I could wire them to the side markers so they would come on as soon as I turned on the lights.  How did you hook yours up?  Thanks.

Looking at your picture again, I see that the clear row of LEDs are also the front parking lights.  The headlights seem dim.

  3. I don"t recall anyone adding any chrome. Mopar makes a set of chrome strips that go on the bottom third of the doors. Do an ebay search: dodge journey chrome You will see pictures of what you are looking for, mounted on the car. There is also a stainless steel set of mouldings that cover the bottom rubber windowsill pieces. Go to a dealer and see if there are any DJs lined up together. This way you can tell if the black piece on the Crossroad is different than the others. It is possible that the platinum piece and the black piece come together as a set. The molded mud flaps fit, so I know that at least the leading edge of the black piece is the same as the rest of the DJs.

  4. Again, thank you for the compliment. So far, I have added the cross bars, a Mopar rubber mat to cover the third row seats, and the S/S door sills. Not much out there for accessories!

I will do some research on the tires. As long as all 4 are the same diameter, I don't see any issues, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the heads up.

I finally left the Nitro Forum last week. It was my "home" for the past 3 years! LOL

  5. Thank you for the compliment. My last 3 vehicles were silver, so this is not normal for me! This is the first non-4WD drive that I have had in over 20 years. I am considering swapping out the Khumos for a set of Bridgestones, This winter is supposed to be bad again. So much for global warming. Maybe I'll try out the tires for a while, and then decide if I need to change them. I went down to my dealer last week and they had a couple of Crossroads - one exactly like mine; but all were all FWD. Not an AWD to be seen! Thank you for the heads up. Time will tell.

My Dealer said that he could install snow tires for around $600, but he wanted to mount 4. Why not just 2 in the front?

  6. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. I was having trouble getting in and out of my 2011 Nitro. Failed back surgery. I went into my dealer to ask if they could go to the auction and find me a 2010 Jeep Commander Limited or Overland, the only stipulation being it had to have QDII. But, then I saw this beauty and had to have it. Now, I'm second guessing my decision not getting AWD with all the snow. I have read a lot on the forum that the Khumos are crap, so maybe I'll just change the tires. I have a couple of threads/posts started concerning the largest diameter tire that will fit on a 19" wheel without rubbing.
