  1. Yes sir it is. However I replaced it this last year. Here are the two of them together for the short amount of time I had 2! Sold the cream colored 1990 and kept the 2002 Yellow one. Great bikes! the other is me at the Woodward Dream cruise last August.

  2. First thing I do when I buy a vehicle is remove all of the badges. Looks much nicer in my opinion.

The only badge I remove is the dealers badging. If they don't give me a separate discount for having their dealers name on the back (and no one ever has), I remove it immediately.

Back in '05 I had a new F150 I took in to the dealer for a check up and when I got it back they had removed my custom license plate frame and replaced it with their dealer promotional frame. I noticed it immediately and asked where my custom frame was. They had put it inside the truck. I made them remove their frame and re-install mine immediately. I was pissed and the service manager could tell I was actually holding back. He apologized profusely. I did not accept the apology. I was a hard ass..... LOL!

  3. Per Journeyman425 -"you need to add the appropriate sales code to your build sheet options so that when you return to the dealership, all they will have to do is reconfigure your vehicle on their computer so the new sales code is picked up. That will enable power to the trailer tow wiring harness. A reconfiguration, or restoration, is much like restarting your home PC after a major update. The updates don't take effect until the computer is restarted. Same general idea here. A restoration takes about 10 minutes to do, and your selling dealer should be able to do it for you"

Check the thread below about the 2014 crossroad.

  4. Great, thanks so much Journeyman! That's weird that the code is already there as two dealers now have said they can't help me - one of them even took the car for a quick spin around the lot! I have a service scheduled next month so hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it. Thanks again

ezyb, When you have them do the reconfigure they may still tell you it won't work and that it DID NOT work.

The dealer I went to did. But they were on after the reconfigure. The service guy drove it out after the reconfigure and parked it, I watched him and saw that they were on, he came in and told me it didn't work, no DRLs. But I saw they were on. Guy had a priceless look when he realized how wrong he was.

  5. Same issue with my trailer tow harness. I factory ordered the car with the trailer tow prep group. We had to connect the supplied tow harness to the existing wiring when the hitch was installed. No problem, right? Well, hooked up a tester to the trailer lights and they did not work. Fuse is in place, not blown, and there is only one way to connect the harness. So, why don't they work? Same reason as the DRL - we had to add a sales code for a Mopar trailer hitch and then restore the car and sure enough, now they work.

Thanks again, I plan on having a hitch installed with the wiring at a U-haul, will I need to have the code put in mine and do another reconfigure to get my trailer lights working?

This is my old car pulling the max weight I will pull with the Journey -

  6. Update - Slightly humorus.... I took my Journey (can't seem do get to calling it a "DJ") in to the dealer for the new fob programming. They did that and cut the key insert. I asked them to do the reconfiguration/restoration and they said sure, they could do that what kind of problems am I having? I said "none really, but I haven't had the car long and I just want it done and it should activate the DRLs. Shop manager said "that won't work, DRLs are only on Canidian models" I said well, it's supposed to be in the system and I want to have it done to see if it works. He said OK. and they did it.

I saw them back out of the garage and got up to see the front when he pulled it around and the DRLs WERE ON!! He parked it and came back in and said "it didn't work, the DRLs won't work." I looked at him and said "do you realize when you pulled it out that they were on?" He said "they were?" I said yup, you guys should check out the Dodge Journey forums, said thank you and left. LOL!

    Multi kudos to Journeyman425! Awesome.
