  1. This is very interesting indeed. I just experienced the "no sound" issue that many in this forum have complained about. I find it peculiar that Dodge just doesn't release an upgrade to repair all known issues rather than these ad-hoc releases. I just upgraded through USB the software released for UConnect last year, but it looks like some things are still lacking. What makes it even more frustrating is when the end user is more informed about these issues than the folks at the dealership. The only thing that's free at a dealership is a blank stare.
  2. The Centric rotors with painted hub and fins look really nice. I was thinking of upgrading to these when I do my fronts, as well as installing some caliper covers. I know its just for vanity, but these stock rotors/calipers look really bad with the 19" rims. I would assume the Centric premiums would be better than the OEM anyway.
  3. Definitely a flaw in that interface, then. Wondering if the newer models have the same issue? I wouldn't think that just upgrading the maps would really do that much. It a hard $150 pill to swallow for the ugrade, but that's a gripe for another thread.
  4. Just interested, how many have actually put the larger brakes on your Journeys? If multiple people have done this successfully, it makes it an easier decision.
  5. Don't know of any upgrade other than the one that tomatoman just mentioned. http://www.driveuconnect.com/
  6. I know it has been a while since anyone posted on this topic, but I have experienced the same as redtomatoman. Just purchased a 2011 Journey and was using the Nav quite often this weekend. Sometimes the turns would show up in the cluster and sometimes not. I would expect this to work all the time. I may depend on which screen is being displayed on the EVIC, due to activity on that screen , but I tried with several others with no luck. Has anyone had similar issues with the next turn only showing up intermittenty?
  7. Found this on the mopar site. Looks encouraging, but would still need the wiring harnesses and such. I will have to do a bit more research on the electrical.
  8. I just purchased a 2011 Crew and it had just about every option we wanted except for heated seats. I am wondering if heated seats can be installed and integrated into the touch system without adding a third party switch. This would certainly round out a beautifully optioned vehicle, and make my wife happy. The screen where the controls usually are (for the heated seats) just has two blank areas either side of the "outlet" and "screen off" buttons. I'm thinking it can be done, just wondering if someone knows the exact equipment to purchase as well as method of install. Thanks guys!
  9. Just purchased a used off-lease 2011 Journey Crew with 31,000 miles. Looking forward (I think) to the ownership experience and hope to get some great tips from my fellow Journey owners.
