  1. Quick question, just like the title says, the USB drive in the DJ does not work. The AUX is fine, but the USB does not play, or/and charge if its suppose to at all. Has anybody been experiencing this? If I'm doing something wrong? Still have bumper to bumper warranty for another 600 miles. Take it to the dealer?
  2. Yes I did, and was not bad at all, whole project was about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, just me on the ground, wiring and all. I do have more pics but can't upload them , out of space.
  3. Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your purchase!
  4. Yes that was a great ebay buy, and super fast shipping. I'd add more pics but can't. But what a great kit really impressed!
  5. Install was easy, and pretty fast. My slowest time was getting the power wire through the rear suspension area. Did it by myself, my first hitch install also. Got the kit off of ebay. From seller HitchMart1 for $198.44 shipped, and came with everything! Hope this helps people needing a hitch.
  6. So did they pull the code? Could be something simply.
  7. I agree seems like a neat design oil filter on top. But still have to go on the bottom to drain the oil. The battery though, wow. Thank God you don't change it often. and even with synthetic oil, I'm old school I change it every 3k miles. It's not expensive for a piece a mind.
  8. Just like the Title says. Is it just me or do others feel the same? I love the DJ so far and getting ready to do a full tune up, and install a hitch. But to me I like the battery on top, and the oil filter on the bottom. Anybody else feel the same? But guess it just takes some time to get used to, just like not turning a key to start.
  9. I must agree. Owning built v8's, turbo 4's and turbo 6's. The 3.6 does feel good with the get up and go, and very happy with the mpg too!
  10. Congrats, and hope it serves many years of service!
  11. Very nice report Bruce, love to hear good things about these vehicles. Just got ours (used) but very pleased as well so far. Good luck!
  12. Well just got home, and we got it, 17k out the door, minus the add ons, plus we did get the extended warranty for an extra $28 a month with a $100 deductible. Drove it home averaged 22.5 mpg, compared to the Denali's 15.5, what an improvement! Drove real nice, and feel safe with the extra warranty. Sorry to hear Robroz, I heard many horror stories, but also some good stories, and most from people on the road, so yes we were hesitant to buy one, but feel good about it, but time will time, crossing fingers, always liked Dodge products, and my SRT-4, has never been to the shop or left me stranded. Also thanks for that brake link, it does have the single piston calipers, but first thing first, must get a hitch will start towing next week, any links will be greatly appreciated for best price. I'll post some pics tomorrow, if its not raining before I go to work.
  13. Thanks for the hitch info. Not sure on the brakes? What was the difference in size so I can figure that out when I get there. You did get a go price. Maybe the price reflects options? This one has 3rd row, flex seating, stow n go, v6 awd. What options does yours have? Would rather have a 2013 myself, but pricing them and options this right now is the best one in this 200 mile area. Leaving in an hour to go look at it.
  14. Thanks guys, got the car fax for what its worth, no accidents, or anything major, just service records, oil changes and such. Good point on the alignment, I'll see if I can throw that in, and get a extended warranty! It will be used a lot, probably put on 18-20k miles a year. Plan on changing fluids, and a k&N drop in, and cabin filters if I get it right away. Will be hauling my weekly trash to the dump, and small live stock now and then, best hitch kit out there for the DJ? Anyways wish us luck hopefully this is the one.
  15. Going to go look at a 2012 DJ SXT v6 awd, has about 35k on it. It was a rental, but it looks well kept, they are asking $17k for it. Anything I should look at? Anything to know? Is it about a fair price? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Also it does have 3rd row seating and rear heat and air. Thanks in advanced, Marcel
  16. Hello RobertLane, yes 89 Turbo Trans Am #77
  17. That sounds great, exactly what I'm looking for to replace the Denali. Going from 16 mpg to 24 mpg highway will pay the loan by itself, just in the savings in fuel!
  18. Yes agree sounds like a great vehicle. Plan on getting on this month if all goes well on the sale of the Denali.
  19. Yes I have DTSGUY, it does look good, but we are looking for a used DJ, as long as it has AWD, and 3rd row. I'm waiting for the new Dart SRT-4 to come out to buy new, and thanks for the welcome.
  20. Just saying hello to everybody. I do not have a DJ yet, we just made our last trip in our 02 GMC Denali XL, and putting it up for sale. As soon as it sales we are looking into a 2013 Dj with AWD, and 3rd row, color is not a matter. I had many dodges, and other vehicles, but currently own a 2005 dodge ACR SRT -4, bought brand new, and it's a Stage 3 with Toys, a 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am #77, restored, and our Denali. I've been doing research on the DJ and heard as many complaints, and compliments a like. But the handful of people that I talked to in person with them, in parking lots or gas stations, all were very happy with them. So we are hoping that we will be happy as well. My wife is saddened to let her Denali go but at 194,000, it's time for a new vehicle, not to mention better MPG. Anyways hope to get all the info in the near future on any questions I might have, looks like a great community here, Marcel
