  1. I purchased it of ebay. In the search bar just type rydeen mirror with backup camera in order to get the kit. If you are interested we can always email each other just because sending pictures is much easier. Honestly im not 100% sure but it seems like it does come with the auto dim. Just because ive noticed how at night i cant see the persons headlights behind me as much as i do from the side mirrors.
  2. Removing the pillars next to the windshield and then pulling on the part of the dash touching the bottom of the windshield that is a seperate piece and the tweeters will be right there.
  3. http://i.imgur.com/uH3GenU.jpg If anyone is interested, this is the camera that was diy. spent about $200 for the rydeen mirror w/ backup camera included. it might be a little pricey but honestly look at how oem it looks and you dont have people looking through your car and noticing something they might want to steal. If anyone is interested in more info just let me kno. i am more than happy to help anyone in need. i have pictures and can write out a full description of how to wire everything.
  4. Hey Nerner um honestly I do not know. There is however a big amount of depth space In The 2012 unsure about The 2009-2010. harrisjohn6 the cameras power wire was connected to the reverse light. It was sodered and heat shrink was installed also the camera needed more power so a relay switch was added to the 12V DC located in the trunk on the left panel. and i got ground by removing the piece of plastic in the trunk on top of the headliner. the trunk panel was removed and a hole was drilled in between the license plate lights and ran the cables inside and hooked up the camera to all the wiring. The mirror or whatever your going to use for monitor was installed in the rear 12V DC in the trunk as well because i just couldnt access the one below the stereo. instead i ran all the wires through the headliner all the way to the trunk.
  5. DTSGUY Those Rims Are Amazing. Im Having A Bit Of A Struggle Deciding But Since Money Is Tight Im Going To Hold Off On The Rims And In The Meantime Do The Rest. Bubba Your Truck Looks Amazing. Only Problem Is I Believe Its Illegal To Tint The Headlights In Illinois. So Imma Do A Bit More Work And Just Take Apart The Headlights And Paint The Chrome Black. Im Also Looking To Tint The Tailights A Little Bit More Darker But Overall Your Truck Is Amazing With Those Replica Rims.
  6. http://www.originalwheels.com/dodge-wheels/images/dodge-journey-rims-2372.jpg the rims ar 17" and look like these. Im not sure why some sxt have different rims but i deffinetly prefer the 19" over the 17". Heres a picture of the Dodge Journey. http://imgur.com/CMVhtD8
  7. Wow honestly your rims look nice for them to be stock. The only problem is i have the sxt version and i honestly dont find the rims to attractive and was looking into changing them for the rt version already painted black. Heres the link to the rims im telling you about. http://m.ebay.com/itm/181050590591?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
  8. So I Recently Saw The Dodge Journey Blacktop Edition And In My Opinion I Feel It Looks Real Nice. Im Not So Into Aftermarket Looks But Im Willing To Convert A 2012 Dodge Journey Sxt Into Looking Like That. I Was Wondering If I Can Get A Few Opinions Wheter To Do It Or Leave It As Is. If I Do End Up Doing This Mod The Plan Would Be To Paint The Chrome On The Grill Black And Also paint The Silver Piece Located On The Bottom Of The Bumper. Take The Headlight Apart And Paint The Chrome Located Inside As Well As Tint The Tailights A Light Coat Or Maybe Dark. I Can Also Get The Same Rims On Ebay Already Painted For About 1000.
  9. Man Honestly There Is A Big Difference. If You Put The Volume Up High With The Oem Speakers It Would Sound Distorted. When You Take Out The Oem Speakers You Will Notice The Difference Just By The Size Of The Magnet And The Weight. The Oem Have A Small Magnet And Sarcastically Weigh About A Pound. It Also Depends What Kind Of Speakers You Install. But Honestly Compared To Oem It Makes A Big Improvement. While Testing Them I Put The Volume Up To 38 And The Voice Was Clearly Heard And They Add A Bit Of Bass. My Next Step Is Changing Out The 2 Speakers Under The Dash And Add A Underseat Subwoofer. Also Its Not Expensive If You DIY Just Invest On 2 Pairs Of 6x9 And The Rest Is Real Easy
  10. Here Are The Pics. Also If Anyone Is Interested I Also Happen To Install A Backup Camera But Instead I Removed The Rearview Mirror And Installed A New One With A Monitor So That Everytime I Reverse The Camera Turns On And Is Shown Through The Mirror Instead Of The Head Unit Or Adding An Extra Monitor http://i.imgur.com/8h8Hdpq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XWk8GDr.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XaspOt7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TJO1821.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vOjqL1a.jpg BTW Thank You For The Help Addicted To Dodge And Dethdeks
  11. BTW Out Of Topic But Can Anyone Help Me Upload Pictures. It Keeps Saying File Is Too Large
  12. So This Is My First Post Ever. Im Very Exited To Finally Learn A Few Stuff And Get Ideas To Use In The Future. So After Looking Around In Various PLaces Looking For A Way To Change Out The Door Speakers, I Just Couldn't Find Anything. I Mainly Didn't Attempt To Figure It Out Myself Due To Fear That I Might Break A Clip Or Something Or Scratch Any Part Of The Door Panel. I Finally Decided To Figure It Out Myself And I Felt Like It Would Be Good To Post It Up For People That Are Going Through The Same Struggle That I Went Through Or For People Interested In Changing Out The Speakers. The Tools I Used Were *10mm Bit For The Socket Wrench With Extension (Remove Bolt Behind Door Handle) *Impact Gun/Screwdriver *#2 Phillips Bit (Remove Screw Behind Door Handle Next To The Bolt) *T30 Bit (Remove Screw Underneath Pull Door) *T20 Bit (Remove Speakers) *Plastic Pry Tool ( Pry The Door Panel Starting From The Bottom) *Micro Screw Driver Flat ( Remove Cover Behind Door Handle And Pull Door) 1st Step Was To Take The Micro Screw Driver To Remove The Cover On The Bottom Of The Pull Door And Behind The Door Handle 2nd Step Take The 10mm Socket Wrench And Remove The Bolt Located Behind The Door Handle 3rd Step Was Take My Impact Gun With The #2 Phillips Bit And Removed The Screw Located Behind The Door Handle Next To The Bolt 4th Step Was Take My Impact Gun With The T30 Bit And Remove The Screw Located On The Bottom Of The Pull Door. 5th Step Was To Take My Plastic Pry Tool And Pull On The Bottom Of The Door Panel And Work My Way Up On Both Sides Of The Door Panel. 6th Step Was Pull The Door Panel Up And Remove The Door Handle Which Is Just Clipped To The Door Panel And Also Disconnect All The Harness Cables ( Windows, Locks, Mirrors, ETC....) 7th Step Was Take My Impact Gun With The T20 Bit On It And Remove All 4 Screws Holding The Speaker And Disconnect The Speaker Harness 8th Step You Can Do It How You Please. You Can Either Buy Speaker Harness That You Wire To The New Speaker And Just Plug N Play Or You Can Just Splice The Cables And Attach With A Piece Of New Speaker Wire, Solder It And Tape It Up. After Thats Done You Can Now Put Everything Back In Its Place.
