I had an interesting experience with the Low Fuel Warning. After the initial indicator (pump light) I monitored the 'distance to empty'. When the display switched to 'LOW FUEL' it indicated I had 30 miles to go to empty. After driving an additional 12 miles I refueled and could only put 15.978 gallons in the tank. With a 20.5 gallon capacity tank I had the ability to travel quite a bit further. The point being that at least on my JOURNEY SXT there is an additional amount of fuel available, so no need to panic too soon.
