I just tried installing these and cannot get them to stay on once the journey starts. Thoughts?

Naturally I am in full blown modification mode with my 2012 Journey and one of the things that was urking the crap out of me was the non secure rear plate. All I have is the plate with a custom black chrome cover over it. I carefully drilled 2 holes slightly smaller than the stock sharp point plate screws that were from the front and they went in flawlessly. I used some silicon I have from work and put some in the holes and coated the screws in it. It seems to fit like a glove. Since that part of the vehicle is NOT metal is there anything other than moisture I need to worry about?

Are these legal?

Just bought a 2012 SXT with 16000 miles and I noticed a whine like this almost immediately. I can actually recreate it without fail by manually getting to 3000rpm in 4th gear and then letting of the gas so the engine winds down, its sooooo loud. Never heard an engine make a high pitch sound like that. When I first heard it i was like........is this engine supercharged or turbo and I dont know it? Still cant figure it out. Calling dealer tomarrow.

Looking at the same thing but I think somebody said 20x9 is too wide.....
