  1. Got 17" alloys on monday from the Dealer, voiced my concern about them fitting and asked about their return policy. Oxford Dodge in London Ontario is a great place, they listen to you and i didn't remember to ask about that when i bought them but i got a call from a rep asking how the service was and she got someone to call me right back, again, really reseptive. Would recommend them. All in at 1666.97 with a set of locking lugs i bought as well. BFG WinterSlalom. Will try to post a pic, but my cold air intake thread only allowed me to upload 1. Also have to put them on this weekend, as the degrees are slipping and we had snow today. Will let you know how they work Here is the pic of the rims
  2. Why can i not load more pics? Does this mean when and if i try to upload a video i wont have enough space to do it. Moderator?
  3. Thats resonable for basically just mufflers and labor i suppose, unless thats only the parts. My old man has a shop with a hoist so i could get the mufflers for around $2-300 and do it myself to save money. Installed a Cold Air Intake from my Dakota on the weekend and it sounds amazing inside the car when passing and just slightly noticable at regular driving(of course i'm always a bit of a lead foot when i have a car or truck that has balls and sounds good, also had a Flowmaster 40 series on my Dakota and it sounded awesome with the combo. So who knows, maybe i will put some kind of exhaust on the DJ soon.......hahaha
  4. Man, that sucks! I have the 19" alloys for the Rallye and have really been thinking of locking lugs. I guess in a sense you have made my mind up cause i live in a nice neighborhood in Canada! Sorry to hear about your loss
  5. So Saturday i had to take my Journey to my dads to change the oil for the first time, rotated the tires and istalled a CAI i had from my 2002 Dakota that i just sold but didn't want to leave the CAI because it was a gift from my in-laws. I will take some pics and maybe a video with my crappy ass blackberry to post up possibly tomorrow. Sound is great! It's a FIPK(fuel injection performance kit) for a 4.7l and after some cutting of the pipe i just clamped it down and bent i bracket from the kit that already existed for lack of movement and viola! Notice a slight bit better throttle response, especially in auto-stick, but the performance of it isn't really too significant. I'm going to fab up or chop up the heat deflector from the kit and it will help a bit and remove the rest of the stock piping and replace it as well yet because i feel that will be the best way to achieve the throttle response and performance i think a real CAI gives. You will see what i mean when i post the pics
  6. So, where are you ordering from? CT or Tirerack? If the price is better from Tirerack i will just order them from there. Got quoted 1349 + taxes from the dealer, BFG Winter Slalom's. But if the price is better i will order from Tirerack tomorrow and then i know i get them soon without issues. The rims were alloys by the way.
  7. I had a 2002 Neon R/T with goodyears on it and they were the crappiest tire i have ever owned, nice ride but just way too soft, got 40,000km out of them. Most recently had a 2011 Chrysler 200 with goodyears as well and they were absolutely horrible in the rain, never felt safe on the highway. So far my 2012 DJ R/T Rallye AWD with the Kumho's has been a thousand times better, but i only have 5000km on it so far. We will see how they hold up, but my last choice would be goodyear
  8. Called 2 dealers in London Ontario, 1 said he found info on my concern on his computer and said he was aware of the brake change. The other understood what i was saying, but kept referring to a Crew even when i told him several times it was an R/T. The first guy suggested some 17" alloys at the same cost as the steel wheels and assured me that they would fit, price was $1389 with BFG Winterforce i believe they were called. The 2nd guy just kept spewing off #s that were 19" and when i finally told him that what i was really looking for was either a 17" or 18", he immediately shifted gears, but promptly told me they didn't make an 18" for the Journey. He called me back and told me about a steel wheel that would fit and his price was pretty much $1000. So better deal, but the guy sounded a bit like a schister, so i doubt i will be calling him back. I don't mind paying extra price a bit for a guy that really listens to what my concerns are and isn't just being a salesman. Got a few other places to call tomorrow and i will keep you guys updated as soon as i get some.
  9. Thanks everyone!!! I also work in London, just off Bessmer. Hard to tell if i have seen you around or not, there are alot of Journey's in Canada, especially since i got mine i have seen soooooo many
  10. Man, that's great news! Mine is a 3-12 build date and i was gonna start calling around tomorrow, so having the part number and everything is great. I would just end up taking them off when i got home if they installed them for me, but of course i have a nice 3 ton jack sitting in my garage :D. I also have a Costco right near my work, which will be easy to go to for lunch while they put them on.
  11. Never felt any shake in my previous 200 at 75,000kms. got 1300 on my new 2012 rt awd rallye,so cant really comment on that yet. Would definately get the dealer to check into that as well. As far as the milage, I'm averaging 10L/100km in mine, almost as good as my 200 was.
  12. Hi all, Bought a brand new 2012 rallye rt awd on Saturday. So far i absolutely love this car? Sorry, just not sure really what to call it. I live in Ingersoll, Ontario Canada. Wife and 2 kids. As i traded in my '11 200 for the Journey, i am already familiar with the Pentastar and 6 speed trans, but can't wait til she's broke in. I had til Saturday a 2002 Dakota Sport QC 4x4, but i sold it to a friend who needed a vehicle and i needed one less :D But i did happen to take off the CAI so i can McGiver it to fit my Journey. Hope to talk to some folks about some minor mods, but maybe just get some insight as to how everybody likes it. Thanks, Neil
