  1. Forgot to say that you can file a bug report with Apple at: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html In case apple can do something about it. /Andreas
  2. I have also looked into this and as far as I have understood it's an uconnect/dodge issue (or whoever makes the mygig firmware). Uconnect chokes on something in the address book records. And Apple is probably using a standard v-card format for this. It is however fixed in the latest firmware for the RER version (firmware 9.807). If you have that version ask your dealer to upgrade your mygig and you will be all set. (This also tells me it's not an Apple issue. Although I can understand. I agree that the mobile me is a little pricy. But you can disable automatic syncing in the phone. And then reactivate syncing once you are out of your car again. The syncing is quite fast). /Andreas
  3. You can get it to work if you disable automatic syncing of the address book in the "E-mail, Contacts, Calendars" - then choose "Mobile Me" and disable syncing of contacts. (This is all done in the phone). You will know LOOSE ALL OF YOUR contacts in the phone. They will remain on Mobile Me and on the mac though. And you can get them back by activating sync again. When you have disabled syncing of the address book uconnect will no longer get caught in an endless loop trying to download your contacts from the iphone. Some MyGig radios have available updates that take care of this problem - It's not an apple problem I think. The REZ-version that I have doesn't have this update yet though :-( You can check the unofficial site www.mofv.com/mygig for updates - you will loose warranty if you do it yourself though. /Andreas
  4. Do you mean this: http://www.jula.se:80/e-Sales/esa/default....mID%40EQ=619107 There seams to be some kind of perforated plate covering the exhaust. Is this correct? Wouldn't this have en negative effect on the performance of the car? Although not as nice as the mopar one, the price difference is huge. I think I will save up and get the original out of ebay though. /Andreas
  5. I also only have the front license plate holder attached with two holes. But now I have four holes though since I bought new chromed holders and when changing them out I noticed that the front license plate were either level or centered on the bumper. Would be nice to know if there is a bracket that's available for purchase.
  6. Are you sure? If I understand it correctly the Tirefit system is using 100% latex and no other chemicals or fibers. I have read that when Tirefit has been used it can be rinsed/cleaned off from the inside of the tire. And the latex that has become hard you can peel off. I can't find any source that know "for sure" - some say that the latex can react if the rubber compound in the tire is of the "wrong" kind though. And I have also read that Tirefit will not damage the tire sensors like som other brands will. It would be nice to know what's true though… /Andreas
  7. Does anyone know if the Chrome Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip, Item# 82208095, will fit the Journey with the 2.7L V6 engine, (flexifuel). The mopar site says it's for the 2009 Journey 2.4L - but I have a hard time seeing that it wouldn't fit? Could it be that the bigger US engines has a bigger exhaust and that it therefore will not fit them? If anyone has his part could you please tell me what size (in mm) your exhaust is, and what engine you have? /Andreas
  8. I decided to try the air compressor that comes with the Journey as a replacement for the spare tyre. The compressor has a knob that you can switch between two modes. Either to pump tirefit tire sealant with the clear plastic tube. Or to pump air with the black textile covered tube. I put the compressor in the second mode (air only- marked with a bicycle pump) and pressed the on-button. And all the tirefit sealant spewed out over the driveway. The service station has agreed to order a new compressor under warranty. They agreed that the knob itself seams broken, and didn't turn of the tirefit . It was really hard to turn. Anyone else that has tried to use the compressor to fill wheels or inflatable toys? I think I will make them try the compressor once when i get the new one, don't want to make a mess again… ;-) Can someone confirm that you can use it without spilling sealant. /Andreas
  9. I can't see the pressure either. I reread the manual and if I understand it correctly it only says that the pressure will be displayed in the EVIC in case the pressure gets to low. It doesn't say that you can view it at will. But I can be wrong. /Andreas
  10. I really like the lower chrome list below the bumper at the front. But I can't understand if you can purchase that separately?
  11. I think this one is nice. http://www.vmaxx.de/en/public/?fz=65&c...img=vm01798.jpg
  12. Although other people on the forum have had problem with the power steering. The previous post explains my question. This is what I have experienced and is in this case perfectly normal if I have understand it correctly. /Andreas
  13. I noticed that yesterday. Why is it that the power steering pump makes that loud noise when you turn the steering wheel completely to the left or right. /Andreas

    Where do you live?

    Borås, Sweden. R/T 2.7l V6 - Pearl Black.
  15. Several years ago the car washes here in my town got new softer brushes. Some time after that they got replaced by new brushless washes. After some more years they were replaced by new high pressure brushless washes. And now they have been replaced with high pressure washes - that move up and down - WITH brushes - but the brushes are made of foam, and triangular in shape and very thick, instead of those hard plastic bristles. I guess that our climate and weather condition doesn't work well with brushless washes. The cars didn't get clean enough. We have a lot of sanding and salting of the roads during wintertime. And it has a tendency to stick to the car quite hard. /Andreas
  16. Thanks. I thought this would be the case but I couldn't find any info in the manual about it. I tried to unscrew it - but I wouldn't dare to put to much force on it. Will try a little harder after work. /Andreas
  17. Why the low octane recommendation in the us? My manual states that the lowest recommended is 91 octane - but what you can actually buy here in sweden is unleaded 95 or 98 octane. /Andreas
  18. The problem with choosing diesel in Sweden is that the additional diesel-tax is several $100 per year. And if you like me not even drive 1000 km every year - the total cost is much higher. The diesel-fuel itself is new as expensive as ordinary 95 octane fuel - traditionally it has been cheaper, but it aint any more. But if you do drive a lot you will save cash by choosing a diesel engine. /Andreas
  19. Thanks for the replies. Since making sure it's completely clean it is a little better. But the main difference occurs in bright daylight - what a difference. The weather here has been very cold and dark - that seams not to be the best combination for the camera. Bad ligh, a little dirt and a little frost seams to have been the biggest culprits. I have placed an microfiber cloth in the car now… Thanks. /Andreas
  20. When washing the journey in an automatic car wash is were a risk of the car wash hitting the antenna and damaging the roof? (The antenna doesn't seam to be removable - or have I missed something?) I'm certain that the dodge dealer that had the dodge before us (as a demo car) have been putting it through a car wash several times and there is seams to be a slight indent around the antenna - like if you have forced the antenna backwards and it has put a strain on the roof. It's not like you can see any damage to the roof - it's only slightly visible. What do you think? Is it safe to put it through a car wash? Even if the dryer/brushes is hitting against the antenna? /Andreas
  21. I have the exact same journey/motor as you and we have had it for little over a week. The fuel consumption for the first week when only driving a few kms to and from work did say around 16L/100kms (not E85). But we took a trip yesterday and drove around 200kms and the average fuel consumption were around 13L/100kms when we were home again. (BUT this is the TOTAL average fuel consumption since we got the car - to view the actual fuel consumption I think you have to reset this number in the EVIC. If you only drive short distaces - and like me in cold weather - the fuel consumption will be higher than what's stated in the specs). /Andreas
  22. How sharp are your back up cameras? How far away from the rear bumper is the picture still sharp? I think that the quality of my back up camera is a little on the bad side. The focal plane is quite narrow. And I have a hard time saying if its 100% sharp anywere. Is there a way to adjust the focus? /Andreas
  23. Thanks. That's close. But those I saw there completely round, and without the rubber grip area. But I like these as well. /Andreas
  24. On a site I saw these side "steps" - or "tubes" if you like - that should fit a Journey. I can't seam to find that site again and I don't know what the correct name of the product is so i can't find it via google either. They were chromed "pipes" or "tubes" placed beneath the doors - between the wheels. Maybe someone here now what I'm talking about? /Andreas
  25. Thanks. I have looked on that site and it offers only a 9.112 update for the REZ. My current version is newer than that. In the latest news section on that site it say on 4/17/08: "Posted the latest MyGIG Software Updates for REP, REZ (REZ owners are supposed to use the REN update), REW (REW owners are supposed to use the RER update).. Don't believe me? It says so right on the CD " But the REN update is also only at 9.112. The site is quite a mess in its instructions som maybe I am missing something.? Please help. /Andreas
