  1. Ours is a RT 2.0L Diesel manual (in Spain), makes 35.3mpg driving at 80mph fully loaded with 7 people and a rigid box Thule Pacific 200 placed up in the roof (with 121 gallon capacity). Without the roof box and fully loaded with 7 people at the same speed of 80mph it makes pretty good 45.1mpg. If I drive alone at an speed of 60mph it makes 52 mpg. I think that fuel consumption of the diesel version is really low specially if we think of the great size of the car (still low even if I compare it to my BMW 320d manual and diesel which consumes less than a cigarette lighter and at 60mph makes 65mpg). The VW diesel engine works very well and gives more hp than the officially rekon 140hp (probably +150hp) which makes it quite a quick car (0-60mph in 11 seconds, and a max speed of 118 mph) cheers :D
  2. The cover came with the car. We bought it last february 09 in Madrid (Spain). It's the RT diesel of 140CV. I think it was made in Mexico by may 08. Cheers. :D
  3. It looks great in a grey car. I installed it in a black car and you almost do not notice it. I ordered the bumper guard and when it arrived it surprised me very favourably because it is made of a rigid plastic of very good quality. I mounted it myself in only 5 minutes: You only need a plane screw driver to take out 4 plastic kind of screws, clean the surface (it is provided a 3M clean towel), take out a bit the adhesive paper on the back of the new bumper guard. Put the new bumper guard in place, fix again the plastic screws, and then take out all the adhesive paper from the back of the new bumper guard and press. I put some pictures. No more scratches in the bumper! Cheers
  4. We have a REZ Mygig and a non original DVD of 10" which was installed at Dodge in the car roof and then connected to the Mygig by radio signal. As we had some problems with the radio we had installed at Dodge a FM-switch and now when playing DVD we have to switch a botton and again to listen to the radio. This non original DVD has AV port, USB port and SD card slot. I bought a Western Digital portable disc of 320Gb and filled it with lots of mpg and avi movies. It only needs an USB connection both for data and power supply. So now we can play hundreds of movies from the WD portable disc, (at last no more DVDs ). The only bad thing is that as we have the DVD at the car roof the 1,5meter long USB cable hangs from there to the arm box where the WD is kept. I am thinking in the possibility to hide the cable from below the DVD and going under the roof and down through the internal division between the doors and then under floor carpet to the arm box (I will need a 3meter USB A-B cable for that). This solution could have been even better if we had the original DVD which can be managed from the Mygig and then connecting in the Mygig USB port the WD portable disc. The only better thing of our solution is that the non original DVD we have is of 10" instead the 8"of the original (as we have roof window). In any case this a good solution to forget about DVDs which were always a problem as they always got lost , scratched or full of dirty fingers... :talkhand: Cheers
  5. Hi again, I post some pics of them installed :D Cheers
  6. Hello, I post some pics of our R/T with a Thule Atlantis 200 roof box. We chose this one because it can handle 75kg with a volume of 440 litres. It weights 17kg and it measures 175x82x45cm so when it is installed you can still see perfectly through the roof window. It can be opened from both sides and it is very easy to install in less than 5 minutes. (It has an inside mechanism called Power-Grip that gets easily in up to 80mm wide roof rack bars, Journey's are 60mm wide). I think that in the States it has a different name, it is called 686XT - Atlantis 1600 with a capacity of 16 cubic ft. Cheers :D
  7. David, you are right. What I miss for the journey is an exterior part made of rigid plastic to protect the flare wheel arches. I used to have a VW Golf GTI back in the 90's and it saved me a lot of scratches and therefore money. I hope that as the Journey becomes more popular these adds on products will come to life. Cheers
  8. Here u have some pics of the "add ons" for the interior: Cheers B)
  9. Here u have some pics of the exterior rear: Cheers

  13. DogSportz, I ordered my bumper guard from the web page http://www.autohispania.com/paragolpes-tra...y-p-191094.html It cost me 138€ plus shipping, a total of 155€ But later I realized, thanks to the post made by Noren that the bumper guard I have is the same one as the one that Vmaxx has and much cheaper, lol :D Here is the web page of Vmaxx: http://www.vmaxx.de/en/public/?action=home There are lots of very nice "adds on" to the Dodge Journey. (The same bumper guard I have they have it in silver), and also there is one made of stainless steel. There are also some very interesting things like the code "VM01800 design part for rear bumper, ABS, silver, self-adhesive" and the code "VM01865 rear door strip stainless steel polished". I add some pics: In the web page of Vmaxx there is a list of international distributors. I'm gonna try with the spanish distributor that surprisingly is only about 4 kms from my home, lol :D Here you have the distributor for the US, in his web it doesn't appear yet Journey's parts. I think this could be because this products are really new in the market: Sherwood Automotive 1050 North El.
