  1. My 8.4N is paired with my iPhone. iPhone Bluetooth is on. The phone screen is stuck at the "hands free system loading, please wait" screen and i cant even try to re-pair the ohone because it won't let me access the "phone/Bluetooth" in the settings menu either. Any thoughts?
  2. I have never had it happen from a dead stop although my fathers '09 DJ has this issue and they keep telling him theres nothing wrong with it. I will inquire with my dealer about the TSB. Today a rough idle has started too and my drivers window is squeaking when rolling down. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of finding out I have a lemon! A lot of problems in the last while. All started with a loud squeal on startup when its cold out in the winter, seems to be one small thing after another since then.
  3. Mine has been gone too since its started warming up. We just had an unusually cold night (about 0 C) and I heard the noise faintly for about 5 sec after startup so I assume it will be back with a vengeance next winter. As said it sucks when you have a pretty well new vehicle and your neighbors mention that your car woke them up at 5:30am when I left for work. Makes me wonder what it's going to sound like when its not "new" anymore a few years down the road.
  4. 2013 Journey RT. I get a shudder once in a while when reversing and in the last couple days the same shudder when I almost come to a complete stop and then let off the brake (like at a red light that turns green right before I stop completely). It almost feels like the car is about to stall. I have a feeling, though, that's it may be a transmission issue. Anyone else experienced this before?

    Random Chime

    I seem to be getting a random single chime, intermittent, and seemingly unrelated to anything. Has anyone else seen this? It happens on its own at all given times. Sometimes just once a trip, sometimes multiple times and sometimes not for weeks at a time (so taking it to the dealer is a crapshoot because it has never done it when they had it out for a test drive). Seatbelts on, tire pressures good, doors are closed securely and no messages in the cluster. No warning lights or anything come on when it happens.
  6. Did this fix the issue? I just had my power steering pump replaced for the same issue. The noise at cold start up remains however. Just doesn't last as long as it did before. Dealer says they will look at it again but have been seeing the same issue with other DJs and expect dodge to hand something down saying its "normal" soon. Until then they will keep replacing the pumps. A friend of mine is having the same problem right now with his DJ.
  7. Good to know. I am going to have to take mine in and have it looked at. I don't know what the inside temp was exactly this morning but the outside temp registered -3C and the seats only came on low.
  8. I wouldn't mind the way it's programmed so much but maybe with better parameters. It's not uncommon to get snow here around 4C, so auto heated seats on low (especially when they are leather) when your car has snow on it just doesn't cut it
  9. Does anyone know what the parameters are for the auto on heated seats with start up? I have noticed that they don't start until a it drops to a certain temp (around 3-4 C) but I have also noticed that some days it only comes on low, other days on high (even when the ambient air temp is approx the same).
  10. How do you update the gracenotes info for the 2012 8.4N? I have a bunch of newer CDs (released in the last 12 months) that only list "track 1 track 2 track 3" etc with no album art. Kind of annoying to have such a nice display that displays nothing useful.
  11. Has anyone else had problems with delaminating (not sure if that's the right word) around the hard controls? In certain lights it's very noticeable. I assume its from finger contact when using the control knob. Its around the volume control (which probably doesn't get that much use as I use the steering wheel controls mostly). I can understand this happening over a longer period of time but I have only had the vehicle 3 months which I don't think is an acceptable time frame to start seeing this kind of wear. I can't imagine what it will be like after a couple years. In the image the spot at the top is very noticible in this light but if you look closely theres another similiar size spot below it.
  12. I found the exact opposite. My auto climate was almost too cold. Past vehicles I always kept it 20-21C. This one I keep it 23-24. If I turn it down any lower than 20 it feels like my face is frozen within a couple mins. My auto climate always ran on face vents on really warm days and moderate days split it between face and feet. I don't think my auto climate has ever used the defrost on its own.
  13. Apparently they did something incorrect when measuring the freon level because they now say it is fine. Evap sensor was shot. Being replaced in a couple days. Also brake booster had issues causing the brake pedal to be rock hard (almost to the point I couldn't depress it enough to get the vehicle started) when the vehicle sits for periods greater than 5-6 hours. Sad to need multiple repairs on a vehicle just 3 mths old. That will be replaced at the same time.

  15. At dealership now. System only had 1/4 of the freon it should have had but they can't find the leak! Filling it with UV dye now to hopefully find out where it's coming from.
  16. Anyone else had an issue with the climate control? I have mine set to 23C usually and today it was only blowing on low on my feet only (ambient temp today is 37C). I turned it all the way to "LO" and have it blowing on the dash vents at a fan speed of maybe 2. If I put it in manual the fan and AC functions fine at all speeds.
  17. My 2nd Row seating ventilation is weak compared to the front and 3rd row. Probably blows with about 50% less force than the 3rd row which I assume is strange since the vent tubing is probably continous all the way to the back so it would have to bypass the 2nd row to get to the third. Has anyone else experienced this? Yesterday was pushing 40 C here, and my wife and kid sat in the back seat and they were dying after 5 mins. Luckily, the 1st and 3rd row A/C compensated shortly after that and cooled the middle row as well, but not an ideal situation by any means. Thanks
  18. I tend to think something is wrong with them then even though the dealer is saying they are fine. I know it's apples to oranges (kind of) but the heated seats on my Ram were great. Noticeable in a reasonable amount of time and sometimes too much. With these seats honestly within the first 5 mins after turning them on I can't tell if it's my own body heat warming the seats or the seat warmer. 5-10 minutes I can tell the difference but it is just noticible if your trying to note whether they are on or not. I would be willing to bet money that if I put the heat on and didn't tell my passenger they would probably say I had only turned the lumbar on and the seat bottom was just the natural warming of their body. Back to the dealer for me! Hopefully these are the extent of the issues. Returning to the dealer twice in the first two weeks after getting delivery is not my idea of a good start with a new vehicle
  19. Does anyone else find the seat bottom heater lacking in strength? The seat back heater works quite well in my opinion, but compared to past vehicles I have had the seat bottom heater is quite weak even on Hi. Or does Hi mean seat back only? Past vehicles I have had didn't have a intensity setting but you could choose either seat bottom heat or lumbar heat or both. Dealer says as far as they can tell it is working as per spec.
  20. I just came back from my dealer. Service manager says that they have been being advised lately to take them off the Avengers when doing the PDI because they had been finding they cause water to either drain more slowly than it should or become trapped inside the door altogether. Said they haven't been advised of doing the same to the DJs but obviously in theory the same principal should apply
  21. There's a drone/slight shudder at the top of 3rd gear when accelerating normally (rpm 1500-1800). If I accelerate more aggressively through the same area the noise is not there. Also if I am coasting to a stop without applying the brakes the transmission shudders right before downshifts from 3rd-1st and 2nd-1st.

    Rattles!

    I will. It's going in to get them to look at the tranny tomorrow anyway. I eliminated all self inflicted problems with the console ( took everything out and it still rattles - I am fairly certain it's coming from the mechanism that releases the locking pins). I just thought I would ask before I put it in their hands. I also have the third row seating. And I placed the 4 bags of play sand flat side by side to evenly distribute the weight. I will have to keep an ear on it and see if I can figure out exactly where the noise is coming from

    Rattles!

    2012 R/T center console armrest is rattling when in the full forward locked position. If I slide it back it doesn't rattle so I assume it has something to do with the handle/locking mechanism when all the forward. Also when there is any weight, say 50lbs, or more in the back cargo area something rattles back there too. I noticed it a couple times now if there isnt anything back there its quiet as soon as i put cargo like groceries (or today 2 bags of play sand) there's a loud rattle. Anyone else notice or have these things happening? A 10 day old car should not rattling!
  24. Thanks. I read a post a while ago (I thought it was on here.....maybe it was another dodge forum) .that they should be removed to allow proper drainage. I couldn't find the post again though so was unsure. The dealer said the one on the back is there to funnel te water to the left drain hole in the rear hatch which I find odd. Why put the hole there in the first place? The other thing that really bothers me about this is that there is so much seepage from these holes after I detail my journey that it leaves white streaks down the plastic trim where it erodes away the trim protectant I have applied. On the doors there is a 1/4" slit in the sticker ( I assume to allow drainage) which begs the question...,why put the sticker there in the first place? I feel as if there must be a reason. I know it's just plastic but I cant see them wasting the money for nothing.
