  1. Not the greatest for me either........Does do well on the highyway IMO......I am just past 6000 KM so up until now.......I am not really getting up hopes up too high.....I will wait until spring/summer road trip to do more ratings..

Still better than the 5.3 avananche my wife drove around town.....LOL.....Caper........

  2. Yes I just checked my now.....It has a lock on the pass. side glove box.

arm rest lifts up and has storage there.

There are two storage areas in the back under the floor mats that have pull-out liners for ice that's melts(coolers)

On some models there ia a pocket on the back side of the drivers seat with two hooks to keep shopping bags up-right.

....How many Journey owners knew what those hooks were for?....LOL....

And pocket in front of the two front cup-holders for small items....

    Hope that helps.....

Also have a rechargable LED flashlight in the left side of the inside rear hatch that will keep charged in the holder......

    ,...........Caper........

  3. My auto insurance agent told me my 2012 Journey has the higest safety rating for there rates that affect my cost..........I switched over my 2005 Chev avalanche over to the brand new 2012 Journey R/T AWD and the rates were about$ 60.00 year cheaper...........Go figure?..........They also told me the smaller compact cars have a bad safety rating ..........Caper....

  4. My 2012 R/T bought in Canada .......has no two red strips after the front logo...........Bought in Nov/2011..........Also don't have the 8.4 " screen .........But the wife drives it anyway.....LOL.......Hope they change the red stips in the logo after my build..............Or you will be disappointed............Caper...........

  5. I don't understand. You start it with the FOB ,but have no key or push-button?

Do you just use the FOB like a remote starter?...what safety features does this system have so you need the button on you all the time. Do you still need to push the brake peddle in before driving away?

    Thanks,....Caper...

  6. Same issue with people that bought the 2012 R/T models with the 4.3 touch screen.

The 8.4 is listed to come as standard eq. on the 2012 R/T models........but they were listed as "LATE" 2012.

so I did know about it before I bought.........However some may not .............

I think you got what you bought........What does it have on you window sticker from the factory build?

    ....................Caper.....

  7. good news, after my first oil change, I reset the EVIC, and I have a new average of 18,4l/100km insted of 22,1l/100km (100% city) + remote start 2-3 time a day!

and idling time + remote start drinks soooo much gas!!!

I'm more satisfied with this average ! and I hope this will be a bit lower next summer without using remote start and warmer weather!

What KM are you at with your first oil change?

Are you in a very cold part of Canada?

I am about ready for my first oil change on my 2012 R/T also ....Just near 5000 KM now ,I am not waiting until 13000KM

  8. Some people are hard on Brakes due to the fact they use two feet when driving.

My mother was very hard on brakes, she used her right for the gas pedal and the left for the brake .......So what this means when your driving, her left foot always was resting on the pedal and everyone knows with power brakes it don't take very much pressure to apply them.

I am not saying this is your trouble/problem........But many drivers out there use both feet to drive and this should be a issue to any of them.

    .............

    ...........

How many reading this post use two feet when driving?

    .......Caper....

  9. Maybe that's why there were some posts on here about the AWD issues. The 225/55/19 are so hard to find some of the dealers may have put the 235/55/19 tires on as a pair in the front or the rear and caused major issues with the AWD wanted to engage due to the differances.

I did check and they do have lots of listings for the 235/55/19.

why did Dodge use such a rare tire size?

Does dodgecares have any input on the odd tire size?
