As a sidenote try reading the PDF at this URL
http://www.fleetchrysler.ca/en/pdf/2011_Police_Upfitters_Guide.pdf
While I realize this is referencing the the Police Charger Vehicle
it will give you a lots of info on the Pentastar V6 and many other
items peculiar to Chrysler electrical systems.

bigtsr got a reaction from alainbock in 2011 Dodge Journey Pentastar fuel economy
This past weekend I was in Windsor/Detroit and when I left filled
up and had the best mpg to date.
The winds at our back cruising non stop the evic read out
7.3 liters/100km.(32 mpg US)
When I filled up reset evic it read 59 L/100km 728 km DTE
by the time Ihad driven 33 km on the 401 xpway on cruise
at 104 km/hr (65 mph).
Summer gas+lightfoot+windage may account for it but I am happy.

Today was the very first time I've carried anything
of bulk or consquence in the DJ.
Walmart had a good sale on Scotts treated topsoil
in 42.5 liter bags and with the 2nd row still up
I was still below the headrests with 12 bags(510 liters).
Great space in these machines and it did not drop
height very much.

RickyCheung if you want to something do this get on a flat stretch of road
at the legal limit, then let up on the gas.
You should see the visual red bar drop below 10.0 at this point in time
press the RIGHT arrow to reset algorythm to base setting or 0.0 k/100km.
Watch your average to see if it goes back up to your high readings.
Smart injector system in theory should be working if it is when you let up on
gas visual should drop usually below 10-12.
This is how my '11 DJ is working.
