"And to make it even funnier, this morning I filled up and the pump didn't shut off at all, i think a few $$$ worth of gas ended up on the ground lol."
That is why you should usually stop at the auto shut off-so you have fill up a little sooner,
It's not an edurance contest.
The other reason not to over fill is that you can damage the recirc fuel system by
flooding the charcoal canistor the that is part of that system, more $$$.

I have the 3rd row seating option and it does fold flat,
my second row also folds flat to give you a very large cargo area.
I have my grandaughters car seat on the 1/3 portion of the 2nd
row so I can still fold the other portion down for cargo use
while leaving the seat in place.
The rear cargo space is 42"x40" with the 2nd row up.
Yes get the Pentastar it makes a world of difference.

I was following a late '11 or '12 DJ last week in Hamilton and his rear fascia
was cut out with the hitch and plug sitting neatly level and flush with fascia.
-
I am almost positive someone posted that 2011 had the amp
under the passenger seat hidden by carpeting.

There is a pressure sensor/transmitter in each wheel they are part of the valve
stem assemblies.
There are 3 receivers-2 in the front end and 1 central to the rear end.
They as others have pointed out supposedly sort themselves out when
the tires are rotated during routine driving.
-
Crawl into the back and check the tailgate for an access port, most
hatchbacks have this built in and it's a matter of using flashlight
and screwdriver/needlenose pliers to trip the latch manually.
-
"That isn;t how my EVIC works . . . . mine displays pressure in kpa and switching to US measure only affects the digital readout for the speedometer.display - nothing else is affacted."
Yes same as mine when using steering wheel controls but mine
changes everything using the radio screen menus.
My door sticker for the tires shows both KPA an LBS for desired pressures.
-
"Which is also kind of irritating because the metric TPMS readout is in KPA, not psi."
I haven't tried it but it appears at least on the 4.3 that you can change
the read outs from metric to US.
I checked with my dealership and they don't even have nitrogen
availiable on site.

I think it's got a nice style to it and with some effort will probably appeal
to the segment of buyers 20 t0 35 yrs old that the Caliber targeted.
It certainly won't have the "not so cute" tag the Caliber had when I bought it
in early '06 and drove until I traded it for the DJ.
Having said that we still have a restored 1971 Dart Swinger 340 in the
family and sure won't be the same carguy enthusiasm involved.

Yeah, that's an option too. I can't quite picture what would be entailed in moving the hook since I don't have my Journey yet.
Does the Weathertech mat cover the entire foot rest on the driver's side?
The WeatherTech covers the entire rubberized part of the footrest.
-
Try using the small hook already provided on the bottom inside of the gascap door.
If it's not long enough put a piece of small silicone hose or heat shrink over the existing
hook use hair dryer for heatshrink.

I just tried to find the posts I was referiing to but as usual
once seen never to found again, memories horrible since
I turned 70.
I did see the posts you referred to regarding it turning in
the holder with excess weight/wear on the nub.
The part I do remember was that the chip was not being read
by the receiver or at least intermittently.
-
I believe your your ignition key in the 2010s was that usb like device.
I recall reading a number of posts on the net about it failing and
having to be replaced for intermittent starting problems.
Could be the fob or the receiver reader is intermittent.

You might want to check this site out.

I read about the feature on the net, could have been on Chrysler site.
I have the lens on the windshield side of the mirror also and have not really
tried it out with highbeams on at nite.
I wonder if it is active but only with the headlight control set to "AUTO".

Well the next thing is check the air filter/breather box for oil,
if it's wet with oil inside then replace the PCV valve and if it's
not that may indicate the need for further tests by a good mechanic.
When I think about it if the was going thru the breather it would
become part of the combustion process and probably result
in smokey exhaust.
If you have raw oil in the exhaust pipes you would see it dripping
out the condensation drain holes usually found in the mufflers.
Is there any residue at the mufflers?
If there is it's not burning it.
-
I have a 2009 dodge journey r/t with 35000 miles. I have noticed that before the next oil change is due the oil level will be so low it doesn't show up on the dip stick anymore. I have also found what appears to be oil in the ends of the exhaust pipes. Is this normal? I have not seen any smoke from the engine or exhaust or smelled an oil burning smell.
Has it ever needed top up of oil between changes since you have owned it?
Is there oil on the ground/floor where you park?
Three reason oil can be used during operation:
1.PCV(positive crankcase ventilation) valve is stuck open
in which case you will find raw oil in the intake breather box.
2.Piston rings are not sealing properly.
3.Valve guides are worn/faulty.
The dipstick showing no reading is definitely not normal at your low milage.

Thanks I just bought a 2012 R/T in Canada
I don't think that date(Oct 24-26) will affect me, I bought it off the lot last sat Nov 19.
I sure it was built before that ................Thanks again......Caper.......
Just check the MDH on drivers door sticker=Month/Day/Hour of build.

Yes the battery location gave me some cause for concern also,
after owning a Caliber where it was accessible and somewhat
protected it's different.
My concern was that on the Caliber if you had any funny electrical
problems you could reset the CanBus/TIPM back to programmed
or neutral state by disconnecting the battery and holding the cables
together and drain residual system charge level.

Can you tow a 2012 Journey AWD 4 wheels down behind an RV?
I believe the owners manual states that you can't flat tow AWD Journeys.
You will damge the drive train.
-
Or you can do as I did in post #28 in this thread because I wanted the WeatherTech mats.
Let me assure you this carpet will not tear because you move the hook.
Lift the sill plate and see how thick and tough the carpeting in the DJ really is,10-15 minutes job tops.
-
Is there the possibility that those features only appear on the top
of the line US model?
My fob only has remote start but it does have the extended long
press on the UNLOCK button that will lower the driver and passenger
windows automatically.
Maybe they have a mixed up a review for another model/make.
-
Definitely not the way brakes on my 2011 DJ work or sound.
You are getting the run around,I know dealers can far and
few between in Australia but maybe you need to park it across
their service bay doors and demand serious consideration.
Call your Aussie Chrysler main office and complain.

1. There's a lag (as if it stopped taking any input from the gas pedal, rpm would drop, then rise back up) right before the transmission shifts to second gear. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?
2. I think the rear climate system is really loud, especially on the right side at the 3rd row.
3. After 600km, the L/100KM figure is still quite high, averaging at around 20L/100KM from mostly city driving. Will it improve over time?
4. Anyway to reset the UConnect(4.3) radio presets, or maybe reset the entire system to factory settings?
1.If I accelerate slowly(featherfooting) I feel a slight lag just before 2000 rpm shift,
Doesn't exist if I accelerate quickly.
2. I closed all the rear ceiling vents and aimed them towards the rear, also as I generally
don't have anyone in the rear seats I shut off rear system via climate set.
3. Should improve with kms,try what I suggested in my other post with regards to reset.
4.You can change presets by simply tuning to station you want and touch/hold the
the previous preset you don't want-works like that on my 4.3
Decisions Decisions, but almost there

My worst EVIC reading so far with all city stop and go at 4500km mark has been 11.2 .
While my city and hiway(very short runs) the EVIC shows between 10.2 - 10.7 /100 km.
Pentastar and tires at 255 kpa.
