Yes....just pull slow!!!!!! be careful....there are wires connected.

just pull the dash around the radio and a/c all the way up to the bin on top...a/c connection cord should be there so be careful not to yank at it too hard...it does disconnect....its a double din radio...you can find them off ebay from about 200 bucks....or buy aftermarket depending on your configuration.

Don't mean to hi-jack the post but 04redmach1 you live about 100 miles from me here in GA...have you ever installed video? Although they are not in your town yet we have Fry's up here in Gwinnett county....they sell a lot of screens...I am the one that posted the schematics for the video output on the 6 disk... I ran a line for my video. Also you were correct in saying a 10 in seal sub for behind the 3rd row. I placed my amp in the storage box underneath in the back...it survived a 13 hour trip up north back in the summer so no overheating problem and is out of site. Not running anything great just a Pio sub with a JVC amp. I will post it so you can see. Now if your real slick...find a way to put an 8 in in the area above the left rear wheel. I have not found a way to crack that space open. In past trucks like the expedition you could remove a cover to get to the sub...in the journey it looks like you have to remove a full panel.

Yes you can ...make sure your music is labeled...I did mine in folders of each artist to make sure I could scroll though them correctly...otherwise it will go in alphabetical order. I fit about 700 songs on a dvd...back up for my mp3...one day I'll get an Ipod...one day.

There is plenty of space in there.....for the dvd and hvac hoses.....the dvd got a bracket the holds it in place....also I can confirm that they did not run wires for a dvd flip down in cars that did not come with it....I have sunroof and pulled at the roof to look inside and my 2nd row a/c controls only had a single wire as the dvd/a-c control has two for all the functions.

I noticed in the last pic that you have a cover for the little bit of trunk space behind the 3rd row seat...did this come with the car or did you buy it afterword...I wonder if they gave those after the first ones rolled off...when was your Journey made?

Well we like pics...so post pics of what you did. Just came back from a 2000+ road trip and the targets held up...one has a monitor in line and I used that line to play from the DVD in dash. The instructions are in the manuel but the jist is to hit the set up button and work from there, bad news is unless you have a monitor in the front you have to ask the person in the back what is playing so you can hit the ok in the set up menu.

So then how can Ibe Mario Andretti with this thing, I tried one time and it scared the crap out of me how fast it took off. Can some one explain how they use it and what to feel for. Going on a trip and would love to get more speed to pass the truckers.

Have a trip comming up from GA to NY...will use mid-grade in hopes of better MPG. I had her up to 28 MPG *say's EVIC* in the past so let's see if we can do 30 with a 6cyl. on the road...what crusing speed should I set it at....I love to do no less than 70mph.

Did my own brake job after 14000 miles.... Cost of breaks 45 bucks plus 20 to turn the disk. You will find it easy to change them as they are only 2 screws or bolts that you need to take out to change the pad, there are two larger bolts to take off when you remove the disk, be sure you don't rip off the caliper and use a vice to put pressure on the caliper before you remove it to take the pads off. SO it looks as if I save 230 bucks accoring to some on here. I did buy mettalic and got a lifetime warranty on them at a place called o'rillyies where I live but I'm sure parts plus, pep boys or any of you auto parts store has them. Takes about 45 min to do it yourself. Maybe next time I will write a how to with pics to help everyone out but trust me its easy. Oh year I was told the rotors (disk) were about 65 bucks each. I'm sure the dealer will double that price but if you ever take them off the amount that can be 'shaved' off is imprinted on the inside of the rotor and I think it was 23.6 or something but they were able to be turned. I took the truck to tire plus (firestone) and they told me the back brakes were good at 80% pad left...I think the front take more abuse than the back so this did not shock me at all. A quick way to check the rotors is to take youe key or a hanger (hate to say it) to check for groves. I would tell most of you to buy the pads and go to someone who will do it for you to save some money, keep the pad so the next time you can turn them in for your lifetime warranty so the work can be done again. It use to be that they would ask you for the old ones when you first buy the new ones but they told me no, kinda like a core charge like when you get a battery or a starter so that they can reuse the part to make a new one. So I kept my old pad to turn back in so I am not slowed down for the next brake repair.

the spray machince at the 25 cent car wash does a great job. But by the time you put tire shine on it you can see spots.

Wow the install on the overhead is way too much for me, think I'll just go to target and get these http://www.target.com/RCA-Dual-Mobile-DVD-...;rh=&page=2 That way i can remove them and put them in one of the bins in the floor, that way no one will knock a window out to take them. I have the video line from the radio so i guess I will split it to run into both plus the kids can watch a movie and hook up headphones.

They further tried to figure out if the folks in the back can watch while I play another source in the radio like sat. or am/fm. I will get some type of screen like the pic above. They will need to run a line from it and split it to the 2 or 1 screens. What was the price of those screens and how much to install. I love the pic.

Please explain how this was all done. I have a video cord comming from my 6 disk but where did you get the screens and how much to expect for install, taking a road trip this summer and need to have the kids set up. Thanks in advance

install my 10 in sub, Bigmac is right, underneth the capet by the break is a grommit that you remove, put your red power cord in and pull from the engine compartment, you should be able to reach it if you stuff enough wire in. I connected mine to the terminal on top where it says battery, two red lines is there that would be used for a boost. You can connect for your remote wire to the back power outlet in the trunk. Notice that it has a key picture on it, this means that the only time it is powered is when you turn the car key fab to the on position or start it The ground wire I hooked up to the bolt underneth the cargo on the floor where there is a bracket that holds the long bolt through the floor to hold up your tire on the bottom of the car. Just take that bolt off ( no the tire will not fall off !! ) and put the ring from the ground on and tighten back up. Yes the extra storage cargo is great to hide amp...I took the car to best buy to have them instal a line level to run the rca cords ( I don't slice wires and for 20 buck and thier responsibility I let them go at it ). I ran my cords along side the driver side, the molding lifts up easy and just stuff the wires all the way to the back, a flat head may be needed to pry the plastic up for you to stuff the wire. Pretty clean instal just wish it was a way to install the 8 inch sub I got into the left back wheel well where the factory installed sub is but the plastic back there is real solid. just would like to keep the limited trunk space after the third row.

Look at my post for the wire diagram...also good for your video ....a better question id how do I add a 8in sub in the back left wheel well. I have stared at it and can't figure out how to take it off to drop a 8 inch in there...would help to save room. But if and when you do...please tell how and show pics if you can...I have a 10 in box and amp just ready to go in but would hate to splice wires on the back. Confirmed. Just take the credit card ( I used my now good for nothing circuit city card ) and run along the edge, then gently, gently pull out the rubber. Use your fingers to get the rubber from under the grove of the illuminated light. It is dishwasher safe :rolleyes: . then just put it back in and run your finger around the grove and your done...oh don't forget to clean the bottom plastic that the rubber fits into. Now only if I can find a better finish cleanor than Armor All that don't attract dust.
