  1. The kit includes everything. You get new key fobs that include the keyless entry buttons along with the remote start buttons. You won't need anything else.

  3. I'd have to agree with drb227. Those tires are overpriced and questionable on quality. You would be much better served by a set of 16s. Plus you wouldn't need to get your tires re-mounted twice a year.

I just received my Husky Liners and the drivers side has 3 reliefs or bumps for the holding pins. My DJ is a 2009 so the middle bump took care of my holding pin but there are two more bumps on either side. Did not realize why there were two extra on the sides until I saw the prior post. The Husky doesn't have holes for the pins so water cannot get through at all. I ordered the mats from Autopartsway.ca
  7. Wow, That one is so much better. 1/2 the price and you get all the different sizes. Good call Armendegga
  8. I just ordered a set of Huskys for the front. I paid just under $100.00 taxes in. http://www.autopartsway.ca/PartDetails.cfm?30031/H21 Looking forward to clean carpets this winter.
  9. For the Canadian members, I did my rear pads this past weekend. I used a caliper piston tool from Canadian Tire which only cost $14.99 http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/AutoTools/AutoBrakeTools/PRDOVR~0251113P/Powerbuilt+1-1%2B2-in.+Rear+Brake+Disc+Caliper+Tool.jsp?locale=en This listing shows the 1 1/2" inch tool but there were two sizes and I used the smaller one. For whatever reason the website only shows this one size. Sorry but I can't remember if this was the smaller one or not. The smaller tool I purchased worked and fit on the piston perfectly. One tip, while turning the piston back the rubber sleeve around it tends to bind up which is not good. I smeared some brake lube grease around the piston where the rubber meets it and this allowed the piston to turn without binding the rubber. Whole job took about an hour.
  10. An FYI for you guys, I took my car in to have a few things taken care of. There was a recall for the front door wiring harnesses. I had them use their Star Scan tool activate a set of foglighs and the Uconnect Bluetooth which I had installed myself. I also had them install an OEM remote start kit on the vehicle. When I picked up the car I noticed that they had applied a "RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL / SERVICE ACTION #10-034" flash to the powertrain control module. I spoke to the tech and was advised that a programming error was causing the hydraulic pressure on one side of a thrust bearing to be much too high. The end result would have been a major transmission failure. The flash that was applied corrected this issue. Now this would not be a concern if we had the lifetime drivetrain warranty that you fellows down south enjoy but in Canada we have not been afforded such luxury. Here is a link to a description of the problem that I just googled. http://reviews.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrysler-RRT-10-034_W0QQugidZ10000000072911967 When I did a search for outstanding recalls on my vehicle this did not come up. The notice said this only affected a few VIN numbers but it might be something you guys might want to check up on.
  11. I was able to open it by prying the door open with mild to moderate force while pressing the button. I just used my fingers to pry. Has happened a couple times.
  12. Very nice, Add that to my list of future mods. Thanks for the info and pics Sergio. Now to find out if the entire new style bumper will be a direct fit. I would be all over that.
  13. As noted in my original post I was keeping an eye out for a set of OEM 19" wheels. Well as luck will have it I found a set of 19" wheels off a wrecked 2010 with practically new tires. Rims are mint. One tire had a small area on the tread that was scrubbed sideways which must have happened when it got hit. They run true and silent so apparently no real damage. Tires look to have at least 90% tread. I love Kijiji. Got them for a steal. Now to mount my X-Ice tires on the original 17" rims and I'm good to go.
  14. Brampton, Ontario Near Toronto for those who don't know.
  15. I did buy the factory kit from a dealership. Paid $269.00 for it. No regrets. Kit was well put together and installed seamlessly.
  16. Armendegga, I ordered it from a Dealership through E-Bay. I also bought the iPod cable. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mopar-Uconnect-Hands-Free-Cellular-Kit-iPod-Integration-/360283693125?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item53e294e045
  17. I found a set of 4 TPMS sensors on e-bay for $140.00. Not too bad. I believe you need to have them coded for your vehicle though. Have heard that other than the dealer some tire shops are capable of this.
  18. Hey all, I just thought I'd let you guys hear about my recent upgrades. After I picked up my 09 SXT last month I ordered a bunch of stuff for it. UConnect Bluetooth kit w/ iPod control Park Distance Sensors Remote Start Foglight kit Chrome Door Sills I have already installed the Park Distance Sensors, Door Sills and the UConnect kit. I did order the recommended hole saws for the Parking Sensors. Made it much easier. Sensors work great. Kit included an LED array that installs in the rearmost pillar right in line of sight when your head is turned during reversing. The Sills look great. They looked really bare before the covers. The Foglight, UConnect and Remote start all have to be activated at the dealer through their StarSCAN tool. I have yet to do this. I am on the fence about installing the Remote Start myself only for the fact that the instructions warn that the unit may be damaged if the vehicle is not scanned prior to installing the hardware. I have already installed the new turn signal switch assembly for the Foglights and will finish up the rest of the kit this weekend. I contacted a couple of dealers local to me regarding the scanning to activate these features as well as the cost to install the Remote Start. Noting that I have an O/S recall for the door wiring harnesses I offered that service to them first. One of the dealers offered to activate my accessories at no cost if I brought it to them for the recall and Remote Start install. They quoted $225.00 for labour to install the Remote Start. The other dealer wanted $200.00 to install the Remote Start but wanted $150.00 to activate the accessories. Bit of a rip job me thinks. Need to make up my mind on what to do. If anyone has any experience with installation of the factory Remote Start system I'd love to get some feedback. I'm really looking forward to having the Blutooth/iPod control working. I hope it works well. The only other things I am considering at this time are side step bars and new summer wheels. I have a set of winters that will be going on the factory 17's. I would like the factory 19's for a summer set and will keep my eyes out. Cheers
  19. I have one valve that is broken as well. Cracked around the circumferance. Have found a few on E-Bay for reasonable prices. Considering purchasing a set of 4 just to have extras. Does anyone know how to "pair" a new sensor with the vehicle?
  20. My 09 makes the same noise. Assume it is normal.
  21. I did read about the issue on the tire availability. Stock tire 225 55 19. Stock rim 19 x 7.5 I don't see why we couldn't use 235 55 19. There are many options in this size. I did some research on Tire Rack and note that this particular size is rated for rims between 6.5 and 8.5 inches in width with an ideal width of 7.5 inches. I looked at the Yokohama Parada Spec-X which was rated quite high on that website. The actual tire width increase would be about a 1/2 inch total. I doubt that a 1/4 inch increase inboard or outboard would cause any problems. Overall diameter change would be negligible as well. If any one has any experience with this alternate size I would love to get some feedback.
  22. Just purchased an 09 SXT in Silver Metallic. Awaiting delivery, bought it out of Province. Looking forward to picking up info on this forum. Plan on adding back up sensors and Uconnect Bluetooth to the vehicle ASAP. Maybe wheel upgrade to 19's as well. Cheers
