i'm having some major issues with my Journey now...actually, it's been going on for months. Not sure if it's the same problem or not. I own a 2010 SXT.
my journey won't shift to the higher gears. I came close to redlining the rpms while driving at a high speeds, 80km/50miles per hour. This is more of an intermittent problem but this happens about every 3rd trip, then about 48hrs later the check engine light comes on. I've been to the dealer 4 times in the last 8 weeks. (it's there now.)
The first time i brought it in they cleared the code and sent me on my way saying the symptoms went away. 4 weeks later i was back with the same problem and the check engine light on again. They replaced the PCM and sent me on my way again. A week later the symptoms started and i took it back to the dealer before the engine light came on. They said there was nothing wrong and i told them to keep it for the day and continue to test drive it, that the symptoms would occur. When i finally called them to find out what was going on i was told to come and pick up the vehicle as they could not find the problem. The day i picked up the vehicle, the engine light came on AGAIN!!!! I have taken the vehicle to another dealership hoping a new set of eyes and brain behind the diagnostics would help. I will reply when i/they find the problem. Crossing my fingers.
