  1. Those are pre production models just to show what the new fascia will be like, they wouldn't take the old fascia to show the 2011 dodge lineup in front of reporters and such
  2. Trust me Terry I will have the new fascia my journey was built bout a week ago
  3. The 4.3 is still a very nice system, but still this sucks bigtime
  4. That is great to see, very poud of u my man, knew ud ake the right choice. And of course the joureny is faster than the explorer
  5. The new pentastar should get better mileage
  6. My journey will have the New fascia, i think it really sets the 2011 apart from the rest of journeys
  7. wow man, those are some very nice cars, thanks for sharing pics of your awesome ride, and welcome, are you an active member on chargerforums and lxforums?? :punched:
  8. the reason i said "actual r/t" was because this is the american version, i don't even know why they called the canadien version an r/t when it comes with chrome clad wheels. this actually has tighter suspension and a slightly lower ride. they should of just called the canadien "r/t" the crew or lux. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/02/chicago-2011-dodge-journey-rt-debuts.html
  9. nice, it seems you're the first person on the forums with an "actual" r/t due to no roof rack and body color grille. also probably the first person with the new fascias on this forum. very nice.
  10. nice, that plasti dip stuff is viral in both lxforums and chargerforums. also your ram looks familiar, do i know you from somewhere, chargerforums maybe???
  11. i mean old ones as in the fascias that are not going to be put on any more journeys, the 2011 "old fascia" still looks better than a 2010 fascia IMO.
  12. currently our family does have 2.4 liter 2010 journey se. The engine and transmission so far have been flawless, accounting we've put over 30k on the journey in a year. so the engine and transmission are indestructible(in my experiences). If you're looking for a safe car that has many cool features standard like evic, esp, abs, traction, the journey i think is the best value on the market in terms of that spectrum. and the fit and finish of 2011 is top notch. if you're on a budget, get the 2.4, but don't expect any fun driving, just a car to drive. but if you got a few k more, and you get the v6, you get bigger wheels standard and the new fascias and 260 ft lbs in your disposal. (hp just keeps a car moving, torque is what gets it going.!!!). We are replacing our 2010 journey se, with a 2011 mango tango mainstreet, very excited to get the car. regarding the 4 speed, it is very unpredictable, the downshifting is a bit weird, but in overall driving you won't notice a whole bunch, but the transmission and engine are a bit noisy, so be ready for that. glad that i could help, i just love cars especially chargers.
  13. front wheel drive cars are a piece of cake to drive in the snow, the journey just plows through it like no other, awd is not necessary. rwd is where its at, i recommend everyone drive a rwd car in the snow before they say anything about the journey, it's not easy and my charger is a prime example of that.
  14. I can answer that question for you. My dad is an electrical engineer at chrysler and chrysler has a company lease employee program for the employees. So any vehicles ordered directly from the company are top priority, the lease price includes all service, insurance costs and more, company leases are so helpful, don't have to worry about scratches/dents/stolen items. so that is the reason why ours "kind of" shipped so quick after we ordered it, the vehicles ordered directly from the Chrysler headquarters from employees were top priority.
  15. Don't get the explorer, don't waste your money. The journey has tons of more cool features than the explorer. If you really want to find to find out. Test drive one and you'll no what I mean!'!!!!!!!
  16. our 2010 journey se has 30k on her and never got any problems with it except had to in for a few recalls, but that's normal. Still runs like a champ but we're replacing it with a 2011 mango tango mainstreet, so a lot more excited about all the new features and the power.
  17. wow, i just made a full thread on this, wish i had seen this before. My journey shipped yesterday, I'm hoping it is here by next friday because that's when the family is going on a road trip for spring break so crossing my fingers that we will get it by friday. btw, how long did it take to get all yours.
  18. So after ordering our journey on 3/19/11, it finally shipped from mexico yesterday, 4/6/11. Now the question is, when will it arrive. That is a question I have for all you Journey owners that ordered your vehicles. How long did it take for your cars to get to your dealership when it shipped from mexico. As I'm living in Michigan, it will probably take a little longer, but would like to know from the rest of you. How long did it take your journey to be shipped from mexico???
  19. come on, you have to post pics with a post like that, and welcome, hopefully you'll get the journey up and running very soon.
  20. about fuel mileage guys, the engine does need to get broken in, and also depends in what type of climate you live in. an engine that is constantly cold and needs to warm up consumes way more than an engine let's say in florida. it's just how it is, you will start seeing better gas mileage as everything in your drivetrain will adapt to its working conditions everyday.
  21. wow, nice pics at great angles too, it's probably really fun driving that kind of vehicle in snow. the fwd is unstoppable in snow, it really is. it doesn't get stuck anywhere. that is a very nice crew and blackberry car too, I bet your excited as hell. How do you like to power of the engine, is it enough for you, in the low range, high range. and about the check engine light, it stays on if the car is "on" not started yet, so he's fine.
  22. nice article, it's from detroit too!! nice to know chrysler is becoming known with their cars, really makes me feel a lot better about our journey coming.
  23. do you ever use the autostick to downshift yourself instead of letting the car do it, so are you happy with your journey or not, because there do seem to be a lot of problems for you. and congrats on the vehicle, it is a very nice. car.
  24. My dad is an electrical engineer at chrysler headquarters and he has just informed me that all vehicles that chrysler builds use some type of chip that comes from Japan, this means that our journey might take a bit longer to get here. we ordered mango tango, a color that is not a problem because it doesn't contain the metallic crystals like other paints. but this natural disaster in japan is really changing the world economy and affecting us too, it is crazy. well only time will tell, when we get our journey. <_<
