  1. I have had this issue as well. Here's what you have to do. Get a 2nd USB flash drive. Put at least one song on it. Plug it in to the usb port. Let it read the stick. Once it's done, put your original stick back in the port. It will now do a complete re-scan on the original drive. This works for me every time. It seems that the system just assumes nothing's changed until it notices a completely different flash drive. Lame. Aaron
  2. Hello, just wanted to know if after the software flash the bass got better? I have a 2011 R/T with the 8.4 screen and Infinity speakers/sub and the sub seems to do next to nothing. I've asked my dealer about it and they've never been able to improve it. Do you have any info on what this software flash was for? Thanks, Aaron
  3. hi

    i have a question

  4. Does anyone know how to create or add a playlist on the 8.4 touchscreen? I see Playlists along the left with the Artist/Albums menus. Does anyone know if you are supposed to create the playlist from already loaded songs or someohow add playlists onto your thumbdrive? What kind of format should the playlist be in, if you are supposed to actually add them onto your thumbdrive? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Aaron
  5. Hello, was wondering if someone could answer this question. We have a 2011 Journey R/T. We have a Kayak that we haul on the roof. When we secure the front of the Kayak to the underside of the front of the Journey we are getting some scuffing on the hood where the cable rubs. What would people's opinion be of installing the air deflector to fix this problem? We tighten the front cable pretty tight - would this end up bending the deflector too much and breaking it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Aaron

    Floor mats

FYI, I contacted Weathertech yesterday and was told that 2011 compatible front mats will be available in 6-8 weeks. Plenty of time before winter hits! Aaron
  7. Does anyone know if it's possible to switch the mileage display at the top of the EVIC in a 2011 Journey? I'd like to be able to display either Trip A or B instead of the overall mileage. I've checked the settings in both the EVIC and my 8.4 touchscreen and have not been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Aaron
  8. Just an update. The wife took the Journey to the dealership yesterday. Our salesperson and a tech checked out the sub. I guess they turned up the stereo and then went back to the subwoofer. The salesperson said 'there's nothing coming from this thing, that's not right'. So it's going in tomorrow to have that looked at. Will let people know what happens. Aaron
  9. Hello, we just got our 2011 Journey R/T. We ordered it from the factory. The only options we had were the Chrome wheels and Sunroof. Now, on our build sheet it states that we have a Alpine 6 speaker system with subwoofer. I have not had the vehicle to the dealer yet to look at this problem, but I cannot believe the lack of bass with this system. There is literally no bass, even with the equalizer setting at the highest setting. We got rid of a 2007 Jeep Patriot Limited that had a very nice set of speakers with a subwoofer. The bass was awesome in this system. We also have a 2010 Dodge Challenger SXT. We have the six speaker system with NO subwoofer. The bass in this system is 100% better then in our new Journey, and the Journey has a subwoofer! I was wondering if anyone else can comment on the bass performance of this system? I've tried both Sirius Sattelite and MP3's off a thumbdrive as source material ( same source material as I use in the Challenger ) and have no bass at all. I guess there's a chance the subwoofer is either not working or is somehow unhooked. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Aaron
  10. I was wondering if any of you guys could help me figure out my VIN. The dealer said he could only supply me with the last 8 characters: bt551012, and that the last 8 were all you needed. I noticed that 2011MainMango's VIN ended with bt544993. I tried taking the beginning of MainMango's VIN, 3d4pg1fg7, and adding bt551012. The Insight link did not work when I placed that VIN into the link (3d4pg1fg7bt551012). I was wondering if other's VIN's all happen to begin with 3d4pg1fg7 and mine just isn't up on the site yet, or if the whole VIN is truly unique.... Any help would be appreciated, Aaron
