    I would make sure you have the right filter because mine fit just like the factory one. I had no problems closing it.

    K&N filter is out part # 33-2423 Just put it in & it fits

    You have to do it all the way down & slow

    I hope you get better range than I get with the factory installed starter. I can get about 200ft on a good day
