Well I got them on and they look amazing!!! I started in the daylight and finished with the sun down. I will get better pics up but here is what they look like so far.

Yes the chrome comes off from the black to make it easier to paint.

Just had these headlights custom painted satin black by my buddy to complete the black out of the front end. They were opened up, painted and then sealed back up. I bought a new set off Ebay and had them shipped right to him so I wasnt without lights. They are en-route to me so I will post more pics once I get them installed on the car this weekend.

The grill isnt too difficult to remove. Its all clips in the bottom once you remove the push clips under the hood. The only prep I did was washing the chrome real good. The Plastidip coating adheres real well.

Just the fronts are done, rear is factory. The plan is to PD the rims sometime soon too! No this is illeagal here in NY but not usually something to get pulled over for unless your driving like an ass.

Project blackout is one step closer.

No problem! I got the emblem from http://www.rebadgedesign.com/ He has done several for my 2010 Ram and they are quality stuff!

This is the first time I used the Plastidip and it wont be the last. I am on lxforums too.

Painted the chrome grill shell with Plastidip and added a Mopar emblem from Billet Technology. Added Dodge vent visors, Dodge sill plate protectors and added a custom made SXT6 carbon fiber emblem to the rear. Here is a close up of the emblem:

I am going to tint the outside lights still and it doesnt effect them too much when on, just dulls them down a bit.

Sounds like its pretty common, I would have the dealer check the carbon issue.

I love the grill painted, I am planning on doing that to mine also.

Picked it up yesterday and today I added SilverStar parking lights to the front. I tinted the 3rd brake light and inside tail lights and also debadged the back. The back before: After:

The outside dimensions look to be the same but they might have a different connector to the light. A dodge dealer would be the only one to get these since they are brand new.

Hello all, my name is Jay and I am from Upstate NY. We are picking it up on Saturday and am looking forward to making it unique. I am a diehard Mopar guy and think this makes a great addition to my 2010 Hemi Ram. I am not a fan of chrome on the outside of a vehicle so this one will be losing as much chrome as possible!
