  1. I put H16 in mine. fits perfect. Just one problem- they get hotter than the light housing is designed to get. My housing is turning black and a little bit melted at the top.
  2. The only thing I figured out to make the DRLs turn off is if I take the light sensor out and then leave my lights on auto. That way the low beams are always on and the DRLs don't turn on.
  3. HID's do not work on DRLs because of the lower power as HIDs require a constant 12v. Which requires me to get a relay harness to take power directly from the battery resulting in blinding high beams during the day
  4. Maybe I will just put black electrical tape over the light sensor on the dash so then my DRLs won't turn on Can't get anything else to work
  5. This worked for me: 1. With all doors closed, and the ignition switch in any position except ON or START, buckle the driver’s seat belt. 2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, (engine does not need to be running). Wait for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn off and then proceed to the next step. NOTE: You must perform the following steps within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON position. 3. Unbuckle the driver’s seat belt, allow the seat belt to retract, and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three times, ending with the seat belt buckled. NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn on while the seat belt retracts and turn off while rebuckling the seat belt. It may be necessary to completely retract the seat belt each time. 4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming. The BeltAlert?? can be reactivated by repeating this procedure. NOTE: When the BeltAlert?? is deactivated, the Seat Belt Reminder Light will continue to illuminate as long as the driver’s seat belt is unbuckled/retracted.
  6. Well I always use my parking brake so I always have the parking brake applied when the car is off and when the car turns on the DRLs come on anyways :s
  7. thanks for all the replies. I know that they are required in Canada. I'm planning on putting the DRLs on the fog lights. I don't like them on the high beams due to not being able to put HIDs on the highs because I would blind everyone on the road during the day. But I'd like the brightness of the high beam HID at night on the highway since I drive a lot at night. That brake thing might be worth looking into, thanks

  9. Hi. I'm from Canada and I want to install HIDs on my high beams. I was wondering if there was any way for me to disable my DRLs. thanks!
