  1. We bought this car just 2yrs ago. After a few months this code persisted. So I replaced fuel cap, vapor canister purge valve, and the "box towards the gas tank". Forgot what it's called (leak detection pump)? After that it was many more issues (battery sensor (replaced twice) and still kept getting battery saver. Finally I dug way deep and cleaned/replaced every battery/ground connection I could. That has kept the battery saver gone for a few months now. But, I already have new 2ga battery wires/terminals to replace the junk 8ga stock stuff. Still doesn't answer the evap/gas cap bs. According to my wife it depends on what gas station/pump she uses. But either way it's more frequent now. It's the wife's/family hauler fyi. Maybe once a week I use it for my little boat and drive it 10miles.
  2. Talking the section that's horizontal just behind the hatch. Where loading something would receive the most wear/tear. A lot of other vehicles have a black plastic trim piece covering this area. I first tried a "universal solution". Lasted about a year. Car washes etc the water just got underneath and it peeled off. Then I used weatherstripping adhesive to attach it better. Got a couple more months. Finally ripped all that off and was using a decal remover/whizz wheel to remove the adhesive. What I thought was the heat spreading the weatherstripping adhesive (was at first) was actually stripping the paint off. White car Ended up buying something else that the whole entire bottom is a more foamy/vinyl decal. It's holding up fairly well except the ends. Was gonna try to heat them up to reattach. Any insight?
  3. I'll be sure to check those out when replacing the battery cables. Thank you Dean
  4. 3.6l and yes I watched a video on the plug. I think I'll have to spray it out. The lock tab is stuck. Went for a 20mile drive and the message did not come back yet. I'll keep everyone posted in the coming week.
  5. This time it happened after driving for a while. Got home, shit it off and let it sit for an hour. Did the 5 ign button cycles and started it. Message gone. But didn't drive it again to see. While be running to the store today so we shall see if it comes back.
  6. Yes I cleaned every single connection with sandpaper, etc and used dielectric grease. The sensor is fully seated. I'm telling you I did everything short of replacing the battery cables themselves. Which I plan on doing. I ordered some 2ga wires and copper lugs. One thing I'm wondering is if the little harness plug on the alternator is getting water in it? I can't figure out how to get the plug off.
  7. Key off is 12.5v, running is 13.7-13.9. I have a battery/alt tester. Not just a multimeter. I believe I have some corrosion somewhere or moisture is maybe causing an issue. Edit: I replaced the batt sensor with an OEM about 6 weeks ago. Just yesterday the message came back. Was able to reset the message with five ignition presses and then starting it. Didn't leave it running long so, it may come back again after a drive I'll take soon.
  8. Yes I have checked both battery and alternator. I just ordered new battery cables. Here's to hoping
  9. I did everything Dean posted on. Replaced the battery sensor and upgraded all the grounds. I still randomly get "battery saver mode". I have tried everything.
