  1. Thank you Mojo! Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the catalytic converter on bank 1 (fire wall) for a 2014 dodge journey SXT 3.6L AWD? I did get the bolts off and detached the catalytic converter from the motor and the exhaust but I couldn't seem to remove it. The catalytic converter seems to hit the front right drive shaft and the cross under pipe. I'm hoping that If I remove the cross under pipe that I'll have enough space to pull the catalytic converter out from the bottom. Anybody have any suggestions?
  2. I was wondering how you get the bank 1 catalytic converter for a 2014 dodge journey 2014 SXR with the 3.6L vortex engine with the AWD. I managed to remove the bank one catalytic converter but I couldn't seem to remove it from the top or the bottom. The "Y" connection and the right tire drive shaft kept getting in the way. I was looking for step by step instructions/videos online.
  3. Thanks for that information. My mechanic said that since it's the bank 1 cat by the firewall, he said that this cat goes bad because it overheats. I don't know if he was right or if he was blowing hot air.
  4. I have a 2014 dodge journey 3.6l SXT AWD showing code P0420. I swapped both upstream and down stream with Bosch O2 sensors and it spit out more codes. Thanks to the forum, I found out that the NTK O2 sensors were best so I swapped the Bosch ones out and replaced with the NTK's. It went back to the P0420 code. I finally took it to a mechanic shop and they told me that I need a new catalytic converter. I was given two estimates, one for a genuine Mopar cat and one for an aftermarket. I saw online that Dorman makes one for $350 and the dealer wants $1,800 for a genuine Mopar cat. My question is: if I install the Dorman aftermarket will it continue to set off the P0420 code or do I need to buy the Genuine Mopar cat? I live in Virginia so there are no emissions. Anyone have any suggestions?
