  1. Received the disc yesterday. It's a two step process. One disc to update the navigation radio software and the second disc to update the actual map software. The first update took around 10 minutes. I don't see what changed. Maybe some bug fixes. There is still a problem with the East/West arrow orientation being reversed. The North/South orientation is correct. The manual is confusing as it says you can turn off the radio to interrupt the process if you need to and it will resume where it left off. I didn't interrupt the radio update as it seems to be updating the firmware.

As for the map update. It's taking awhile. I interrupted it yesterday and it did resume where it left off when I came back to use the car. However this morning it did not resume. It's stuck somewhere and not being functional. Will see again later otherwise it will have to go see a dealer to reset it. So warning to you guys. Make sure you have at least an hour to spare to complete the full two stage update.

  2. What does it take to have Chrysler extend the warranty again? Another class action lawsuit?

Even with the extended brakes warranty, dealer installed previous parts. By the time I need new rotors the warranty expires and I'm SOL.

Dodge needs a lawsuit for sure and I will step up when my time comes for the next brakes.

  3. Wow. Not good to hear. I have a 2010 model and I don't know why they can't get their act together even for the later revisions. How do they expect to have repeat customers for their brand. I know this will be my last Chrysler/Dodge no matter how good it might look.

  4. I have the previous engine with AWD and averaging 15km/100L. So u can only assume the Pentastar will produce even better results. 50/50 highway/city.

I do notice since this car is heavy that a slight change in driving pattern or bump in traffic and this will drink fuel like a thirsty elephant. The EVIC counter just starts to go up like watching a taxi meter.

  5. I have a 2010 Dodge Journey with the Nav Head Unit Model REU. Suddenly today I am unable to save my home address. I've been using the "Guide Me Home" feature with no problems since the day I got my vehicle a year ago. But now no matter how many times I get a confirmation that my home address has been saved, it doesn't save it and keeps on telling me I don't have a saved home address.

Anyone with a similar head unit experience the same problem? Such a hassle to go to my dealer that takes so long to get serviced and doesn't even provide a loaner for anything.

  6. Doesn't the change from 225 to 235 make the odometer slower by 1.5%? Is there anyway of getting this also modified at a Dodge dealership to read both the speed and odometer reading correctly?

There should be a way with a flash in the ECU but the way Dodge is handling other problems I doubt they have the decency to help customers out. It's too easy.
