  1. Could be the size of your jpg file in pixels. I have a 2010 RT and found that any pic over 625 pixels wide would cause the image to be black. It took me a few tries to get it right. Pics less than 600 pixels wide will cause you to have black borders on the sides of the pic, but that's just my experience not sure if it's true for other years and models. Good luck!
  2. My electric guy brought in a 3rd party programmer, so I don't know the details, but it works and that's all I care. He charged $200 to program.
  3. Drivers side door did not activate dome lights, door locks, back up cam was acting up with sometimes worked, sometimes scrambled image.
  4. The rebuilt TIPM works great, just required a little programming!
  5. I think they call them wheel skins? The rims underneath are fine, but the chrome skins have the road rash. Seems it's all one piece.
  6. Don't mean to high jack this thread, but I get this intermittently then it goes away. 2010 Journey R/T.
  7. Thank you everyone. I replaced the tipm with remanufactured one. Solved all my issues, just now have all error lghts on dash. Any ideas? All car functions work now except door lock buttons, but keyfob works on all locks.
  8. Does anyone have any experience with rebuilt Dodge TIPM's? Are they reliable? I'm not trying to promote any of these companies, just curious of any experience. Thank you!
  9. Our wheels are chrome, but seem to have plastic covers with road rash. Are they replaceable or do we need to replace the rims and all?
  10. I signed up with Mopar.com. Very useful site. There were 3 recalls that were already completed. I did remove the rubber conduit on the door and there was the wiring and the loom. All looked good and solid! I'm sure the auto electric checked the switch, that's why he was baffled. Thanks for the info!
  11. Do you have any info on the wire loom recall. Is the wire loom in the door itself? What door switch are you referring to?? I am not too educated on these things.
  12. Do you mean your TIPM? If so, try these guys: https://tipmrebuilders.com/
  13. After buying our 2010 Journey R/T about 3 months ago, we've had our share of electrical issues all seem to be solved except one. When opening and closing drivers side door, dome lights do not turn on or off. All door button functions work fine. Had auto electric guy look at it and he's stumped. Any ideas out there?
  14. Warranty company declined to pay for the TiPM again. Good thing I spent $3k on the warranty! Ya right! They are blaming the dealer for these "new" problems. Dealer said no more from them. They said they already put over a grand in time and trying different parts. At least this electric guy fixed everything except the drivers side door doesn't turn the dome lights on or off. I guess we can live with that. If we click the unlock button all the dome lights go on anyway. All other doors work correctly and the instrument panel lights work properly now. He re-programmed the body module.
  15. After a lot of diagnostics, looks like we're back to the TiPM! $1000 plus labor! We did purchase an expensive warranty. Insurance adjuster along with dealer seeing where we go next!
  16. The starting thing happened to me once too. I tried with both key fobs, no go. Came back a couple hours later and double clicked the unlock button and it started right up! I don't get it! The electric guy got the instrument panel lights solved, but still working on the door issues.
