  1. X2. Assuming your border line walking distance from work, 5 minutes of run time should make up for the draw it took to start your car and run all the equipment during your 5 minute commute. So living so close to work shouldn't have anything to do with a poor charge. Luckily the issue was diagnosed and fixed!
  2. I did look at it last night and I do believe I could remove the second row driver side seat. Thus allowing easy access into the third row seat. It is as simple as 4 bolts and it's out. However given that we just bought the car Thursday, my wife wouldn't let me test my theory. For now we have the kids 3 wide on the second row, but we have a big road trip coming up in May and I think then my wife will be more open to my idea about removing one of the seats on the second row.
  3. We just bought a '14 DJ with third row seat and are figuring out the arrangement for our kiddos. We have 3 kids, 10 year old girl, 2 year old girl, 3 month old girl. Our 10 year old already called the 3rd row all to herself. However, the toddler and infant car seats will be interfering with the repeatedly moving seat that our oldest will be sliding to climb in and out. Anyone else hit this wall? My wife is shopping for narrower toddler seats today, but I don't know if she found anything. Too bad we cant remove one of the second row seats to make for easy entrance for our 10 year old.
  4. Wife and I just brought home a 2014 Journey SXT last night. We were planning to buy a brand new Chevy Traverse in January of next year, but couldn't hold out any longer. We are building a house right now and don't really need to be splurging on new cars(hence waiting until next year for a new car), but we just had our 3rd child in December. My wife's car was too small for 3 kids, and my truck isn't very practical for just driving everywhere any time we go some where as a family. We have been keeping our eyes open for a mid size suv for a couple months now that fit the bill and yesterday morning we found it. 2014 SXT, 3.6L Pentastar , big infotainment screen, good tires, service records in the glove box, certified pre-owned, free 70k mile power train/ drive train warranty, 40k miles on the clock for $14k at Meador dcjr. Very happy! I am a fan of dodge cars, my wife traded in her 2013 dodge avenger that we bought brand new and it had 98k on the clock with out ever having a single issue! I have a couple questions I'll be asking in other sections, mainly about the fitment of kids in the back seats. It was after dark when we finalized the deal so attached is a dealer photo of the car!
  5. Actually the car down shifting going down hills is normal. Your not thinking the cruise control all the way through. Cruise control is design to maintain a speed and maintain a speed it does. Any newer vehicle will do the same thing. That is one of the reasons why your supposed to turn off your cruise control when in the hill country.
