  1. Here are the pics I took this morning. Much more aesthetically pleasing in my mind. A nice muffler with twin stainless pipes would give it some cool factor instead of a dirty tire in there.
  2. This old thread was started before RPM made them available. If you read on page 3 another person used silicone parts and built his for less than $120. The one from RPM is 3" all the way from the air box. These ones go from 4" until the 180° bend then down to 3.5" right up until the TB. Also not being one piece make a lot easier installation.
  3. Okay so I have been slowly picking away at some mods for my Journey. These cross overs with the 3.6 pentastar are well powered but I'm am a HP junkie and love to try new things to get more. One thing that most people overlook is the power to weight ratio. There are so many things you can do to the Journey to shed some weight and get these vehicles moving faster. One thing I have been contemplating is the exhaust. I recently relocated the spare tire into the cargo space in the back an removed the tire winch and shield to shed a few pounds. One thing I discovered is the single to dual pipe is the T shape. A very inefficient design for exhaust flow. Here is my theory. With the spare out of the way cut out the T and replace it with a single in dual out magnaflow muffler and custom bent tailpipes. This would flow much better and reduce the weight even more by eliminating those big ugly cans at the back and really clean up the appearance of the under body. Feel free to to criticize and give me your thoughts.
  4. Okay so I have been thinking about doing this mod as well. Over on the Avenger forum there is an old post where they built their own version of this and one option is cheaper. I have ordered all the parts to do this so im hoping to see some gains. The members have tested it and they seem to have some noticeable gains in the MPG department. Here is this link to the old thread. https://www.avengerforumz.com/threads/cai-pipe-project-complete-with-pics.49403/
