  1. I have already been dragged through the coals on this. Chyrsler Fiat according to Lake Norman Dodge Chrysler in Cornelius NC, has deemed the warranty null and void. This is through Chyrsler Power Train Center. Amazing, heartbreaking, hardship, I have been through so many emotions. I have in writing that "when a non-covered part (Hose) causes the failure of a covered part (Engine) is NO LONGER covered." WOW!!!!!!! What causes a heater hose to blow in a well maintained vehicle. Perhaps the problem with debri getting into cylinder head??? Had to have transmission on this vehicle rebuilt one and half years into ownership (May 7, 2015). On July 20, 2015, complained of hearing noise in engine upon start, nothing found at that time. And on October 7, 2016 had to have Throttle body replaced. Any advice on "Lemon Law". On December 12, 2017, Tried to work with Chris Brown at dealership on labor and was told that was up to Chrysler. Which he is now advising he never said. As God is my witness he is a liar. I sent e-mail to owner, Jack Salzman on December 13, 2017, which was marked read on that date, begging him to work with me on this. Finally on December 20, 2017, I got a quote for $5,380.00, off of the original quote of $6,428.33, wow a savings of $1,048.33. On a vehicle that is only 4 years old, under 5 year 100,000.00 warranty, and a vehicle that I am still making payments on and cannot drive. Merry Christmas!! Don't think you can help at this point, just wanted the public to know what I have been through. Karen Peltier
  2. I have a 2013 Dodge Journey, which is right now sitting at dealership where I purchased this vehicle. The engine block is warped which I am being told was due to my heater hose. Was driving the car when smelled something funny, looked down and temp gauge went from middle to hot, I pulled over as soon as able, saw heater hose blown at elbow. Am now being told they will not honor the warranty due to the hose causing the problem, and since hose not under warranty will not fix. The vehicle has a 5 year 100,000 warranty. Car is only 4 years old, still under warranty. Anyone else have this problem. And would a blown heater hose cause head gasket to blow and ultimately warp the block?
