  1. I've had my 2009 Journey SXT since 02/10 and I love it! But I did notice the rims get an awful lot of brake dust on them within a week or two after cleaning them. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what it might be. Thanks. Happy Journeying.
  2. LOL...you sound like me a few monts ago. Good luck with it!
  3. I went today and no, it wasn't covered. On top of that the parts guy quoted to the service guy and me that the part was $75.00. I said that I just bought the same part last month for $52.00. Needless to say it cost me $52.00 this time too. :P I also had a nail in my other tired so the total came to $110.00. Could have been worse I guess.
  4. Good luck with it. Let us know how you like it.
  5. That's great to hear! I just called my dealer and she said it's probably covered. Wish I knew that before I bought the part the last time. I have 35K miles on this so I need to get this done before the 36K mile limit. I go tomorrow. Gee, only one more valve after that.
  6. Uh oh....time to learn. You never know when you're stranded and you need to change it yourself. There should be decent instructions in your owners manual or have your husband (if he's not at sea) or a friend show you. Let me know how you make out on the TPMS.
  7. My valve stem split along the threads. I bought the car used at a Kia dealer. The tech said if I went across the street to the Dodge dealer and bought the part he'd install it for free. The stem cost $52.50. The (Kia) tech said the Dodge stems seem to be made of that "aluminum pot type metal". I still have under 36,000 miles and I found another stem that split so I'm going to ask the Dodge guy if it's covered.
  8. Welcome to the forum! Still lovin' my '09 Journey. We love Virginia Beach too.....can't wait to drive it down there.
  9. Nice ride. Welcome to the world of Journey.
  10. Ok. I talked the the dodge service department and he said that's the design. Some models have it so you can change it to recirculate, others don't. That explains why the rental had it but mine doesn't. He sympathizes with me because his Jeep does the same thing and it drives him crazy. Thanks for the input everybody.
  11. Just so happens the dealership just called for another reason and I mentioned it to him. I bring it in tomorrow so I'll keep you posted.
  12. Hi. I have a 2009 Dodge Journey SXT. We had rented 2010 of the same model and were able to switch from outside air to recirculate when the defroster and defroster/feet combination was on. When we try it on our '09 the light on the recirc. button flashes the it goes back to fresh air mode. Is this a malfunction or a standard feature? I hope it's a malfunction because we are tired of getting traffic exhaust inside while we're trying to defrost the windows. Thanks.
  13. Hi all. We rented a Journey SXT while our car was in the shop. I liked it so much I bought a 2009. I look forward to getting answers to questions I'm sure I'll have about my new car.
