That is pretty much how the AWD system in the journeys works. It isn’t full-time AWD. Your basically running a FWD, but when the vehicle detects loss of traction, it then will engage AWD and strategically deliver power to the rear tires as well.

I use Spotify with my iPhone 6s. I never plug my phone into the USB port because it only plays whatever is on my phone from iTunes & im paranoid I'll ruin my phones   battery. I stream regularly using Bluetooth & the only drawback is it doesn't show the artist or song title on the screen & I can't browse a list of songs. I can still play, pause, skip forward or go back using steering wheel controls or touch controls & sound quality is pretty impressive.

Is this feature equipped in all journeys? I've got a Canadian 2014 Limited Edition, & going off of the window sticker from the dealers service dept, I've exceeded the mileage threshold for oil changes but have yet to see any messages about it

 Another thing to confirm is that the power source is switched. I have the home link on my sunvisor which does not get power with the vehicle off and the antitheft armed

Interested in adding navigation functionality to my 2014 Limited Edition. I have the uConnect 8.4 without nav right now, will this work for me? I own a garmin nuvi 2455 but don't like wires hanging around

From what I've read online, the menu was available in the 2014 model. Could I have removed the feature when I updated the uConnect firmware? Is it possible to "Roll Back" the firmware and see if it restores the menu?

I bought a '14 Journey Limited about 6 weeks ago. It has the overhead DVD player in the back, & when the vehicle is stationary, im able to watch DVDs on the front screen as well. I've read that I can enable the ability to watch on the front screen while the vehicle is in motion without a Lockpick (?) mod, but I need to get into an "Engineer Mode". 

Ive figured out how to write screenshots to USB drives and enter dealer mode, but I'm not able to get into Engineer Mode. From what I understand, all I'm supposed to have to do is press and hold the drivers temp up and down buttons at the same time and the menu should appear, but it doesn't work. Has anybody else tried entering engineer mode, & if so, how did you do it? If it makes a difference, I have the uConnect 8.4 without Nav.
