  4. Love my 3rd row Shorter adults around 5 foot tall can fit back there thanks to the 2nd row able to move forward and recline Still got room when I need it and fill up with peeps when wanted too.
  5. This is a plug and play kit. Let me know if you guys want all 3 kits, they are $55 a kit as long as we hit 10 kits, which I am sure that is no problem.
  6. It is very simple bud. It is a plastic plate that screws into the factory screws for the 6x9's in our case. Other than having the 6x9 cone, it has a cut out for either a 6.5 or 5.25 round speaker. Like this right here.... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4965_Scosche+SA69.html if you have ANY questions on audio just ask, nothing to hard I have been doing this for over 10 years... the right way haha.
  7. Here are the part numbers for the Journey. 2009/2010 DODGE Journey Low beam headlamp 9006 High beam headlamp 9005 Fog/Driving light 9145 I will get a price for the next price level for each kit. I will also ask if they are plug and play, which I am sure they are
  8. I found a place that actually responds to question and they have a good deal to offer. Right now we are at $58 a set but the more the cheaper. 2 year warranty. www.hidextra.com If anyone wants to get in on this let me know, I will order within a week or 2 at most.
  9. I sent you a request through yahoo. Need to know what kind of budget you want to work with and I can throw some ideas towards you I will be running components in rear and front. Some people like fronts only, but I can tell a difference and perfer rear fill. 1 amp for components and 1 amp for sub/s. Not many make a 5 channel worth a crap anymore and if they do they are not cheap by no means.
  10. After doing some measurements, looking like a single 10 or 12 sealed would work to keep some space behind 3rd row. Sub would take up beinh 1 seat and have room behind other seat. Maybe something from 500-1000 rms sealed would work just right. As for components, I will be running Hybrid Audio, they are not cheap but you know the old saying, "You get what you pay for." Very true with these components, they have great frequency response and covers 6 octaves. I would highly recommend them if you want a real nice sound stage for mids and highs. As for amps, I have a few buddies that own some nice companies as well as know few nice amplifiers that will work with whatever set you get. If you go high quality; Image Dynamics, SoundStream reference, DLS, ZED, or Alpine PDX amplifiers will be perfect. I myself will possibly run the soundstream or PDX if I can stack 2 under front seats. I perfer the Soundstream due to is nice crossovers, power device, and chipsets. Built very well and not like last years "cheap" Soundstream. I would also recommend running the JL Cleansweep or Audio Control equivalent. It will clean the signal up from the headunit as well as a stronger input voltage.
  11. I too have the 3rd row and I am going to have to do some measuring to figure out what exactly will work. I am actually in the process of designing my own woofers and subwoofer company, so I am having to spec out a few things with the room as well. 6.5's have a better sound as well as better quality choices. Round speakers/subs will always sound better If you have yahoo or AIM let me know what it is and I can chat with you. I will measure everything when wife gets home from work to see what we can do and maintain room with 3rd row up.
  12. I have not popped the panel off yet, but I am 99.9% sure 6x9's in all doors. With that said I highly suggest getting a plate for to change them to 6.5's or 5.25's. I am also keeping stock unit for now due to wife will kill me knocking her in-dash 6 disc out. Are you wanting to do it quality wise, or just enough to get by? Do you want a nice all around system that mesh well? Do you have the 3rd row? I have been in the industry for many years and can help you and give you pointers if wanted. Oh and do you have 3rd row?
  13. Are you looking for help installing or product choosing? I will soon start on my build as well.
  14. I will take pics for sure, but I am doing HID's first hehe.
  15. I got the SXT, just had fog lights already. I HAVE to have my fog lights Going to be doing HID's here within the month. We have a few journeys rolling around here.
  16. I think I may go with #1 due to #2 having the weird bend. #3 would look better if the pieces match up better with the cross hairs.
  17. They all do that, it is like an "economy" thing. I am not a fan of it, but it seems 6th gear is stretched so far that they give it a varible before downshiftin or it would always down shift.
  18. I will probably make my dealership put cermic and different pads on with my visit. At 400 miles this brake dust is just shitty. I am sure if you pay for the 19's and chrome, I would be HIGHLY pissed.
  19. Here are my past vehicles... 1988 Ford Ranger - First car and gave it hell. Sold it at 275K+ miles and was still going strong. 2003 Mazda B3000 - 2nd car and it did well carrying the 4 wheeler. Traded. 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 - My baby I miss so very much. Gave it hell and never broke. Sold at 46K miles. 2004 Ford Mustang V6 - Bought same time as mach for the wife. Traded. 2005 Ford Mustang V6 vert - Wanted to try the convertables. Traded. 2007 Ford Edge SEL - Wanted a suv with good gas mileage and got the first one in the south. Sold 46K miles. Great strong car. 2006 Ford Focus SE - Needed good gas mileage due to $4 gas and having suv too. Sold. 2009 Ford Fusion SEL - Only needed one car so got a 4 door car with room and good gas mileage - with style. Traded 20k miles. 2010 Dodge Journey SXT - Needed something with room, good gas mileage, and something I didn't have to crawl or fall into. Bad back. Giving dodge a chance being I am a Ford guy.
  20. V6. I am in america, and the 4 cylinder is a bad idea for this heavy vehicle. Not sure how you guys with the 4 cylinders survive.
  21. LOL! Good to know then. I personally never had a telescoping wheel and I do like that hehe.
  22. Good stuff, please keep us updated on your pads and rotors. When installing, could you see a difference between the size and quality of stock vs aftermarket?
  23. Is this noise you speak of a drone type sound at low RPM's under acceleration? Hard to describe sound.
  24. Well, for Thanksgiving we went to her parent and mine. 240 miles round trip. I have 440 miles on the journey now. Filled up at 200 miles and after the 240 miles still a little over half a tank and DTE is 240 +/- depending on pedal and terrain. It was a good and safe trip and for the most part, the journey did good. Below are the pros and cons to help answer peoples questions that may be looking to buy one. PROS: A/C worked well when needed, and so did the heater. With rear air on it would help the heat/cool process very quickly. Interior is quiet, ride is quiet and smooth. Transmission felt good for the most part (read cons). Love to have my satellite radio back, and the room is great. Gas mileage is nice without being broke in at about 24-25 at 60mph 80% of the time. Handling wise was great around sharper turns, I had to test that out. Say a 110-120 degree corner at 65 mph. Convenience package is WORTH IT!! LED dome lights are awesome, you can drive with them on with no glare or driving issues. Remote start is awesome and works flawless. CONS: With my back injury, this trip has showed me that the cloth seats lack cushion in the ass area. It is a little bothersome for me due to my issues, but wife said she was fine. So all in all on seats I have to order an old man cushion for my seat at 25 years old I wish the head rest was tilted a little further forward as well. Steering seems a little sluggish and loose. Not as "firm" as I would like it. Too much play in the wheel. I am sure the dealer can fix this for me. Transmission worked great, but 2 times from a stop and running through the gears at an average half throttle take off I had a wierd shutter. Felt like running over a few small ripples at about 10 feet. Anyone else have this issue around 3 or 4th gear? Will have this looked at as well. Engine is weak down low, and weak compared to the 3.5 in the Ford Edge we had. Brake dust is already showing........ not cool. Headlights are ok, but dim and bright should be a little brighter. Wish taillights would stay lit with headlights when you unlock it. Too dark in rear of vehicle. This is a very down to earth review of a small trip after getting the journey. My issue with the seat will not bother most, I have a back issue and that kills me. Are the leather seats any more "cushy"? If so I may buy 2 front seats leather, if not I may get them refinished or the quick fix of old man cushion. Overall I am concerned about the transmission with those little shutters. Could be needing a reflash and trying determine gear to go in, but will keep updated if no one else has this issue. Let me know guys and hope you enjoyed my review!
