  1. Hey guys, I apologize, the 1000 miles was referring to the total trips back and forth that it took to fix my booster. Ill try to get a video of the light acting up. I noticed the SE loaner I had didn't have the same lights as the crossroad.
  2. Lobitz, Its my front passenger overhead pivoting led. Ive noticed the problem when I enter the car, or when grabbing something from it when the car is off. The light flickers intermittently. It never turns off, but it quickly goes softer and then back to normal. This doesn't happen when the engine is on. besides the booster (Just happened to be mine. none of the other I drove had the problem) and the small things.....this car is pretty sweet.
  3. DJ, I appreciate all of the insight! I'm happy to report that my problem has been solved after my second booster replacement and about 1000 miles put on the car going back and forth to the dealership. That being said, I still thing this vehicle is so low under the radar. Yeah.....I had a sh**** initial experience but I went through the trial and got t it fixed. Not to sound like my nagging mom who always needs her light bulbs changed.... but my front passenger led light seems to flicker and pi** me off like the cheap cree led light I tried in my house.. Here comes another 1000 miles to the dealership. At least I will have some power and the uconnect system.
  4. Hello Here is a quick back story of my 2015 crossroad purchase: Test drove the vehicle brand new with no miles and my wife and I loved it. 300 miles in I had trouble with my brake booster sounding harsh and giving spring noise and feedback into the pedal. The noise and feeling can be felt with the vehicle on or off. I can feel the spring release in the booster, feel the spring vibrate the booster while someone is pushing the brake pedal as I hold the booster under the hood, and I can hear the loud spring noise within the car while driving the vehicle normally. I have posted numerous threads about my findings and have had nothing resolved. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/7396-weird-brake-pedal/?hl=%2Bweird+%2Bbrake Our dealer confirmed the problem and ordered and replaced the booster and rear brake pads. Upon all of the fixes the car pedal once again felt good and there is no longer a chirp upon braking. I did notice a bit of grittiness in the pedal action but it was much better than before. After a week of driving, The chirp from the brake pads is non existent but the spring release and vibration has returned full force. I tested 4 other new journeys on the lot and none of them felt this way. My wife knows nothing about cars and she drove it today and even noticed how annoying it was.... I'm starting to wish that I purchased a grand Cherokee or no Chrysler at all.... I hope someone out there is having the same problem as I am. Ive also driven my friends 2014 Crossroad and the petal is as smooth as it could be. Help! Ill try another dealer soon but if I cant get this solved I may be on to another vehicle. Its sad....because its the only thing that is wrong with the car....I absolutely love the journey but I cant accept this with a brand new vehicle that had 0 miles on it. I still have transfer plastic attached under the door handles! Again, the booster was replaced and the same thing has happened within a few hundred miles.
  5. She sounds awesome! Please retain your man card and hold on to that one. I had to justify mpg's on the v6 journey to the wife because I only drive 5 miles a day. Your man pants are fine. Is there anyway you can put one leg into her pants and create ultra mega super resonable yet "let's go fast" smartie pants? However once she took the v6 dj with all the sweet stuff. She wanted the car.
  6. Hello again, I've seen some review videos that show the all window controls backlit at night (minus the mirror controls) mine are completely dark. Front driver, front passenger, and rear window controls. Not sure if this is model specific. We have a v6 2015 crossroad with 8 inch uconnect and reverse camera. If anyone can weigh in it would be greatly appreciated Thanks
  7. Charger instead? Looks just as good and has four doors. Cant wait for my wifes small car to die...well not really but you know where im going with this.
  8. Btw, I killed some time on the lot and the new challengers are friggin sweet. If only I didn't have two big dogs and a potential family......sigh..
  9. I finally got down to my dealer after a busy start to the month to check out out the brake noise and spring feeling in my booster. After explaining that you can push the pedal with the car off to replicate my main concern within 30 minutes the service writer came back apologizing that they didn't catch it the first time. A new booster and rear brakes are on order to be replaced. Previously I posted concerns and a quick video of what I was experiencing. However I do partially attribute the first diagnostic of "everything is ok" to me sending the vehicle down with an employee who probably didn't explain the problem properly. Thank you for all the responses of people who commented on how their brakes feel. I was able to pump the brakes of 4 other journeys on the lot and none of them had the problem that mine had. (just my shitty luck I guess) The service writer did however find it odd that the parts are back ordered with no eta, so I might not be the only one out there experiencing this problem. Again this is a new 2015 crossroad with only 300 miles before I noticed this. I will keep everyone posted on the progress. Bummed I'm going through it, but happy something is happening.
  10. I have been looking at diagrams of tandem diaphragm boosters and some show springs internally and others do not.
  11. Milous, Within the booster itself have you seen the springs fail or catch? I appreciate you looking into the issue.
  12. Yes.. A commercial besides the local guy selling an off rental would be sweet. I just found it interesting that after all the years the dj has been around that this June was it's biggest month ever. Updated trims finally getting noticed? Incentives were pretty appealing as well. Crossroads and sxt's were 2750 off combined plus whatever your haggling skills were. Pretty happy with the vehicle and the price.
  13. http://www.bloomberg.com/article/2015-07-01/aJJDT5Kd0xnE.html See the link above. Journey beat out all other dodge vehicles this month.
  14. Churry, Welcome and congrats on your new RT! Keep her clean!
  15. Dhh3, Besides those weird noises, I finally had someone else look at it with me today. He would completely press the brake with the vehicle off as I was touching the brake booster. The assembly itself moved upward more that I would have thought and there was a slight spring like release and sharp vibration within the Booster as I held it. Obviously this is what I have been feeling in the pedal. Ill keep everyone posted in a few weeks when i head down for my appointment. I'm assuming there is a spring within the booster itself even though the dealer told me there isn't. I find this hard to believe because every breakdown of the booster itself shows a spring within the casting.
  16. Indeed, Would look so much better without Gold distraction right in the middle. Once reason I love the black out grill on the black crossroad. Dhh3, I'm coming to terms with the boxy look.... My dog looks at me like "WTF" from the conversation mirror (no I don't use that) when I have all the seats flat because he cant stand all the way up. Just don't want a mini van.........yet.....
  17. Does anyone have service manual for this vehicle? I'm specifically looking for a diagram of the Power booster and or brake system for my 2015 journey. I've searched through old threads, googled, and looked at the mopar website, and can't seem to access what im looking for. I'm assuming the 2013-2015 information will be the same. I was told by the dealer that the journey Power booster doesn't have a spring. As you know I've been getting a springlike feeling every time my pedal is pressed. Just trying to locate what could be causing the problem before going back down to test drive with the technician..
  18. I've had the same cars for some time now but we needed to get something bigger as we have one huge dog, and another puppy that will be just as big. We haven't been in the market for a while and I had no Idea what Journey was. Sadly I learned about them while driving through a dealer lot. (Yeah that is pretty bad) Once I drove one in the 3,6 crossroad with some fluff I was hooked... The DJ is so much car for the price. After we bought it, I went over to my friends house who has a rav 4. The first thing he said while getting into the car was "wow, dodge is really stepping up their game with theses new cars." Obviously he had never taken notice or knew what a DJ was since they came out. I will admit that the new 15 crossroad wheels and smoked headlights/grill are subtle improvements, but they almost change the whole look of this car. Its not going to happen, but Id love to see the DJ stay aggressive looking and maybe get a little taller. I cant stand the new suv crossover styles that look like rolling bulbs. This is why IMO the Tahoe is so awesome.
  19. Dodgecares, I appreciate the time and concern. My next appointment is July 20th at the dealer who delivered the vehicle. I had the journey back to the dealership on June 24th and was sent back to me saying everything is ok and we will evaluate on our next visit. The car was sent down with an employee of the dealership so I never had a face to face talk with the service guys. I still love almost everything about this car but I would just like this issue resolved. This is the first dodge/Chrysler vehicle we have ever purchased and I'm willing to give this process a chance. I've had many cars and worked on all of my vehicles including brakes but I've never encountered these issues. Most importantly I've never had issues after a few hundred miles on a new car. I'm still waiting on formal paperwork as to what was checked the other day other than than the verbal "everything looked ok" and be on your way. Once again I appreciate everyone's efforts and please let me know if any further information is needed. I purchased (not leased) this journey with intentions of having it for a long time, and these symptoms were not present during our test period. Dodgecares, I'll point out once more that our dealer has been accommodating, but something is just not right with this factory new vehicle.
  20. This is exactly what I have been dealing with accompanied by the funky noises from the brakes themselves. I can get the noise to happen exactly the same way even with the engine off.
  21. This is also the noise coming from the brakes when parking, braking, or reversing. I had mentioned this previously. Any Thoughts? Are my brakes just not seated yet?
  22. Scheduled another appointment. I will go down with the vehicle next time. If it's not resolved I will try another local dealer.
  23. Scheduled another appointment. I will go down with the vehicle next time. If it's not resolved I will try another local dealer.
  24. Dj, The dealer told me I was feeling the power booster activate. Shouldn't this feel smooth? It feels just as you described. Its a spring sound when the pedal gets pressed in half way. Its driving me crazy.
  25. Happy one year ownership birthday! I appreciate you taking the time to look at your vehicle. Mine is in route to the dealership to check out my brake concern. I spoke to the service guys and explained what I've noticed and they wanted to look at it rather than wait for my 1000 mile checkup. Only issue I have is that they dropped off a maxed out ram 1500 for me to use. Kinda reminds me of my realtor that showed me a bunch of shitty houses before showing me the one we bought.... As Terry Tate said...."Its mind games"
