SUBJECT: Noise From Front Of Vehicle Over Bumps Or When Turning OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves replacing the upper front strut bearing to correct the noise. MODELS: 2012-2013 (JC) Journey NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built between December 01, 2011 (MDH 1201XX) and December 05, 2012 (MDH 1205XX). SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The customer may experience a noise from the front upper strut mount going over bumps or when turning. DIAGNOSIS: NOTE: The front strut should be diagnosed with Chassis Ears placed at the upper strut mount to diagnose a noisy strut bearing or to eliminate the good strut bearings as the cause of the noise. 1. Drive the vehicle to confirm the noise is in the upper mount area of the strut. 2. Is there noise coming from the left or right upper strut mount? a. Yes >>> Perform the repair procedure on the noisy upper strut bearing. b. No >>> This bulletin does not apply, further diagnosis required. NOTE: Do not replace the shock unless the problem is not fixed by the strut bearing replacement. PARTS REQUIRED: Qty. Part No. Description 2 (AR) 05171093AC Bearing - Front Suspension Strut REPAIR PROCEDURE: 1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist. NOTE: Assemble the upper front mount strut bracket (Fig. 1) to the upper front strut bearing (Fig. 2) by aligning the stud heads on the strut bracket to the 3 notches on the strut bearing. I never reported it before since I really thought it was just normal lol. I was checking on the SB and it looks like it is a $13 part if I am not mistaken. i just hope its an easy fix to do though.

Jkeation will they do this free without warranty? I have the 2013 Journey with 45k miles already. i noticed that sound whenever I hit the brakes turning to a street with a dip. I thought that was normal now I know its not.

Since increasing concern about global warming has focused attention on greenhouse gases, we decided to track our carbon emissions during this test. By relating our observed fuel economy to CO2 emission figures found in the EPA's Green Vehicle Guide we determined that our gasoline round trip produced 706.5 pounds of carbon dioxide. On E85, the CO2emissions came to 703.1 pounds. The difference came out in E85's favor, but only by a scant 0.5 percent. Call it a tie. This is certainly not the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions we had been led to expect. I've read this 2 years ago from Edmunds and never tried E85. And its less mpg for less gas price so more trips to the gas station. I still use regular gasoline and get 26mpg on the highway and 21-22 on the city. Not really that bad for a right sized SUV V6 with 283hp. Before I had a 4cyl 5seater SUV with only 140hp and I would get 20mpg on the highway and 15mpg city. The Journey feels like a hybrid compared to that.

Good day DJ owners! I have 2013 Journey SXT v6 with 45K miles only had it for 2 years now Just wanted to check in with everyone if you have encountered the same problem. My DJ is running fine its just that the ABS and ESC lights keeps coming on. I tried to disconnect the battery thinking it would reset it but no luck. If this is already an answered topic please point me to that direction. I wanted to clean the ABS Wheel sensors but could not find any video/photos on how to locate it. I cant believe it at first that a car this new is already throwing lights. Im not a car geek but can learn if you talk in car terms to me like Im a gradeschooler. Thanks everyone!
