Potential 2012 Journey owner w/ some questions!

Hey! It seems like i'll be purchasing a 2012 Dodge Journey (37k km) but i've been reading about a lot of problems people have had with the 2009-2011 Journeys. So it leads me to some questions: Have the problems that were persistent in the older models been upgraded/fixed in any way (specifically brake pads/rotors)? Should I be weary of buying a 2012 Dodge Journey for any other reasons or would you recommend this car?
