  1. Issue is I don't have control of which vents the heat/cold comes out of with this one whether it be feet or head.
  2. The part where the knobs are is the lower. And Metra does make one for the journey but I don't know if it will fully replace the AC controls. http://www.carid.com/metra/metra-stereo-dash-kit-22671153.html
  3. So I want to replace my 4.3s with a nice aftermarket double din deck. But I have features that I need that uConnect for. I don't have blue tooth, I don't have nav, the only thing I can see that is controlled via the screen is some settings for AC, and some car functionality like lights and such that I don't care to lose. If their is anything I am missing that it also controls let me know. I want to know if it is possible to get the lower that is NOT controlled via the screen say from the base model Journey with no touch screen? That way I can still all the needed functions and still have the ability to add my own deck. As for the steering wheel controls will I just lose volume? or will I also lose cruse control as well?
  4. I at least want to find a 3rd party stereo that will work.
  5. Is there any custom firmware for uConnect? 4.3s specifically apart from using a lockpick. Just a simple question, I love tinkering with this stuff and would like to do things like change the display color, or find custom UI's etc.
  6. Yes I know their are topics regarding the same thing, but nothing I can find that gives a list of the exact needed parts. I have a 2012 SXT 3.6 with the 4.3s system. I want to install the 8.4 but I just want to make sure I order all the correct parts. Here is the OEM side for any of the center console: (http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=539954&ukey_make=1062&ukey_model=15496&modelYear=2012&ukey_category=20307&ukey_driveLine=7866&ukey_trimLevel=18595) I think I gathered the correct parts, I just want to make 100% sure. If I am missing anything or come to expect anything please let me know. I want to be very concrete before investing time and money. For the upper 8.4n with bezel these are the stock codes: (05064993AH, 05064993AD, 05064993AF, & 05064993AG) I don't know what the difference is between these parts. $1025.82 (http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/DODGE/2012/JOURNEYFWD--36L-V6-VVT--6-Speed-Automatic-62TELUX/CENTER-STACK-Upper-RE2-RE3-RE6-RB4-RB5-RB6--RE2-RE3-RE6-RB4-RB5-RB6--RE2-Or-RE3-Or-RE6-Or-RB4-Or-RB5-Or-RB6--RE2-RE6-RB5-RB6--RE3-Or-RE6-Or-RB4-Or/4295333/05064993AH.html) For the lower these are the stock code: (1SK601X9AD, 1SK601X9AB, & 1SK601X9AC) I still don't know what the difference is. $352.50 (http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/DODGE/2012/JOURNEYFWD--36L-V6-VVT--6-Speed-Automatic-62TELUX/CENTER-STACK-Export-Lower-RFL--RFL-Mid-High-With-BUX-Knobs/4540546/1SK601X9AD.html) Then you have this set of lowers: (1RK591X9AD, 1RK591X9AB, & 1RK591X9AC) I don't know what seperates the Center Stack Lower from Center Stack Export Lower which is what this is. (http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/DODGE/2012/JOURNEYFWD--36L-V6-VVT--6-Speed-Automatic-62TELUX/CENTER-STACK-Lower-RFL--RFL--Mid-High-With-Non-BUX-Knobs--RFL--MidHigh/4385526/1RK591X9AD.html) From what I have read I will loose SOME functionality with the AC but I am fully replacing the lower too, will I still lose that function? And because I already have SAT I will have no problem getting nav to work. I do not need hands free or calling. As far as I know that is the only issue, or has that been resolved with something? Anyone who has done, this I would love some light shed beyond shuffling through the posts (which I have done at least a dozen times). I just really want to check all my bases. Thank you,

According to the guys at the dodge dealership they have to remove the inner door panel because the rubber strip is screwed in about 2 inches down on the inside.

Well I went to the manufacturer, I am looking at $110 for that part alone and $150 for install. I am wary of doing the install myself, I HATE taking apart inner door panels. I will update my post with a part number.

    Hello all

Thank you again all for the welcome! I am happy to see a thriving community for the Journey. I am considering glass packs for it but I am not sure what they will sound like with a 3.6, I'm afraid it will sound like a crotch rocket. I've only ever put glass packs on 5.0 and up (and a vTech civic which sounded like crap lol). I want a little more of a deeper note and honestly the note coming from the stock if you romp on it isn't half bad for a v6. I want my v6 to sing to me :D I would also like to churn out 300hp if at all possible. Just need 17 more ponies! Nothing a few exhaust mods and a computer reprogram can't fix.

    Hello all

I'm good with a good sound too lol. I want to get the muffler(s) replaced with something with a little more of a note.

I appreciate the response guys. I'm going to check on the part Rolly mentioned. I believe the 2011 - 2013 are essentially the same car, so I am pretty sure the part will fit. I will contact a Dodge dealership for 100% confirmation and update with what dodge calls it lol.

    Hello all

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Zachary and I just recently became the happy owner of a used Grey 2012 Dodge Journey SXT FWD 3.6L. I got it with 86,000 miles and the car looks like it just rolled off the factory floor both internal and external, minus a few minor scratches externally from the usual flying rocks and a slightly warped rubber window strip. Other than that the interior literally looks like it has never been touched. My reason for purchasing was because my poor 2006 GMC Canyon started failing me. Apart from the crap that is VATS (which was just an annoyance) the timing chain skipped a tooth, laser guide for timing chain went out, cylinder 3 misfiring (even with a new spark plug), Cylinder 2 started doing the same thing, and a bad solenoide. I was looking at about $5,000 in parts and labor when the truck was only worth about $4,000. I don't have the time or resources any more to do this myself (you know, wife and stuff). So I went to a used car dealership that specialized in luxury fleet vehicles and found this gem for $16,000 and they bought my truck for $4000 (which they said they would auction) being a fleet vehicle owned by a luxury service you can imagine how nice the car was kept. It also has a 50,000 mile or 5 year power train warranty on top of the 86k miles. Also the wife and I needed a larger car to accommodate our future family, but was hoping something like the journey would be a second car. This is a hot little car though, it hauls ass, looks incredible inside and out and I want to fix this bad boy up. Some mods I plan on doing would be: 1. Rims (20" matte black) 2. Drop about 2" 3. New muffler (something with a little more noise) 4. new intake (I think I'm just going to get a nice K&N filter unless someone can justify to me an entire new intake) 5. Limo tint If anyone has any suggestions for any of those mods that would be great too :D I want to make this car classy, not street trash. I don't think I will need a new sound system, maybe a sub in the future but I don't want to replace the uConnect touch screen and the speakers in there now have some serious punch already. That is my story, I'm happy to be a part of the forums.

What is it called? It is the rubber stripping on the exterior on the bottom of the window. On my rear passenger left side it is slightly warped and I want to replace it. I have a 2012 Dodge Journey SXT. A part number would be preferable, I have been browsing the Mopar and Chrysler OEM sites for this car and I can't find it. Thank you
