Kbaker Posted April 4, 2017 Report Share Posted April 4, 2017 I have an 09 3.5l. I have the oh so common tick noise in the top end. I have pulled the rear VC to inspect. I haven't pulled the front one yet. Does anyone know if there should be any play on the rocker arms side to side? On the rockers that aren't engaged I don't have any play up and down, but on the shaft there is some side to side play. I have tried to search online about it, and all I can find is people saying that the tick is caused by the rockers. I want to know if there is a spec. On the end the shafts don't look like they have spun. The side to side clearance on the shafts range from .034"-.050"+. Thanks. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
