Rtitus Posted March 25, 2013 Report Share Posted March 25, 2013 I am getting a new Journey SXT with the Safe and Sound option that includes an 8.4" UConnent. I have been unable to find out how I get a GPS system/software that functions on my new car. Does anyone know, the dealer is guessing and really does not know how to accomplish this. biohazard Posted March 26, 2013 Report Share Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) you have to pay for it when ordering the car.. you need to upgrade the radio to the 8.4N by clicking the NAV/Safe and Sound Group, at least thats how you get it in canada. Its an extra 1200.00 option.... If you are ordering one that is on the lot then you have to settle with what options it has. I would suggest ordering one and add the options you want to. Mcgusto82 Posted March 26, 2013 Report Share Posted March 26, 2013 The nav software isn't built in on all 8.4 screen journeys. As they said above. You need to have the 8.4N radio (RB5 radio code) You probably have a DJ with radio code RB2. Good news though. You can add it later. You'll need to swap the radio module for an RB5, and you should have nav. But since you're buying the car now, why not order the package all together.
