  1. Thanks Journeyman. Yes, I am the same guy, retired from Chrysler, Huntsville Electronics. I ordered the 2017 Dodge Journey to replace the one that you helped me follow, nearly two years ago> My how time flies! This is another Chrysler Company Car. When I get it, I'll turn the 2015 in. Looking forward to getting it. This one will be silver, and it's loaded. Very nice hearing from you again.
  2. After I ordered my first Journey Crossroads, I joined the forum! There were several members who had access to help me follow my Journey through the production process. Using the VON (vehicle order number) they posted on the forum, my vin number, and kept me informed from that point, all the way until it was delivered to Huntsville, Al. I was even able to follow it from when it left Mexico, until it was delivered.
  3. Just ordered a 2017 Dodge Journey Crossroads, Silver, loaded. VON U7178935. It will replace my 2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads, It's been a good one, except for Nav problems, (3 different units). I ordered this with everything I could get. Should be here, 6 to 8 weeks. Can anyone keep me informed?
  4. I've been reading about this hacker problem if you have a 8.4 Uconnect rad/nav in your 2014, and possibly 2015 Dodge/Jeep vehicles. I have a 2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads with this rad/nav system. Do I need to take it in for an update? Is there a list of all vehicles that are suspect?
  5. New radio/Nav unit installed today. Happy camper! Only 4 days, I'm impressed...
  6. I took my Journey Crossroads to the dealership this morning, and they tried to reset the navigation. Being an X-electronics engineer from Chrysler, I knew there was a way to reset the radio/nav to factory default. One way is a hard reset - disconnect the battery, and wait about 10 minutes. Didn't work! Second way is by using the cold/hot buttons on the unit. Hold for 5 secs, and a menu comes up on the screen, reset to factory default. Caution here, you can screw up everything. You can catch it on you-tube. Just go to video under "Dodge Journey Navigation reset". Anyway I took it to the dealership, and my radio/nav unit has to be replaced. They ordered me one, and said they would call me. Anyone know how long this will take, because the service rep couldn't tell me.
  7. After going into nav/settings, I reset everything to the default setting, and still no detail in maps, in fact it gave me an error message that detail maps did not load. I'm assuming that this program, for some reason isn't there anymore!
  8. Well, I just went over 7K miles on my Crossroads, and everything was going great! Very good gas mileage (23.4 mpg in city), great ride. On my way home, the navigation went out. It still has power, but cannot see maps, or streets, or anything! Will be heading to the Dodge dealership tomorrow..
  9. Over 2500 miles, and loving it. Getting 20.5 mpg in the city! Everything works great. If it weren't so cold outside, I'd wash it! Am really impressed with this vehicle, looking forward to a spring trip to Gulf Shores.
  10. I'm really enjoying my new Crossroads, but one thing has popped up. If I'm going up a hill, slight upward slope and have to stop at the intersection, my Crossroad will roll backward unless I keep my foot on break. Is this normal?
  11. Happy Thanksgiving to all Journey members and their families! Hope you have a very enjoyable day, and be safe to all that have to travel to be with loved ones...
  12. I'm really enjoying this vehicle. Ride is great, quiet, and comforting. I'm so use to driving Dodge 4X4s. Gas mileage in city is running 21.4. I'm sure that will change after I finish breaking in this vehicle. Everything works. My hats off to the Chrysler Engineers, who took this vehicle from the design phase, through manufacturing, and out to the customer. I will be giving updates about my Journey on a regular basis. One more comment, and it goes to my friend Journeyman 425, THANKS.....
  13. I figured it out. Grab the cargo cover rod at both ends and pull inward. It comes right out!! Gives me more room to fit 4 golf bags. Kinda reminds me of a toilet paper hanger, spring loaded.
  14. Does anyone know how to remove the rear cargo cover?
  15. Journeyman, its unbelievable how much technology has improved in automotive technology. I sit in my new Dodge Journey, and am amazed! Will post more pictures tomorrow! Thanks again, my friend....
  16. Picked her up today! WOW. What a vehicle... Will try and have pictures, tomorrow. Only drove her home, didn't want to spend much time trying to program this and program that, in the dark, while driving. . Looking forward to tomorrow. Special thanks again to Journeyman 425!
  17. Will do Journeyman425. You don't know how much I thank you. It's has been a long road. I read all your posts and the info you post on all issues really bring the Dodge Journey member a tremendous service. My hats off to you, and I say thanks to you, again. It's very confronting knowing that people like you go out of their way to keep new buyers informed, and to resolve issues that pop up with Dodge products. I'm sure I'll be reading more news from you. Have a great TURKEY day, and a very Happy Safe Merry Christmas to you, and of course your family. I will post pictures, very soon.
  18. They called me today! Pickup my new 2015 Dodge Journey Crossroad tomorrow, 3:00m Pm. I'm a happy camper. Will sleep good tonight.. I' 67 year s old and still believe in Christmas, and it came early this year....
  19. Went to Landersmclarady DCJF In Huntsville, Al, today to let them know I have a new Journey Crossroad coming in the near future! They had no idea! Gonna be a long weekend... Oh well...
  20. Thanks Journeyman425. Hope it won't be long now! Really appreciate you walking me through all of this. Looking forward to posting pictures of my new Dodge Journey...
  21. Journeyman425, what is the normal waiting time for dealers to prep new vehicles for release? Do they have to load the navigation, and other radio info, or is that done at the assembly plant level. When I visited Toluca, in 2004, and 2005, radios did not include nav.
  22. Thanks Journeyman425. I'm ready, won't be long before I'll be sitting in a brand new Journey Crossroad! WOW!
  23. That's a sharp looking Crossroad. Can't wait to get mine! Ordered a 2015 Dodge Journey Crossroad on Sept. 25. On railcar, Memphis today. Mine is 3.6L, AWD, sunroof, navigation, backup camera, in Redline 2 coat pearl. I'm a ole Chrysler fart that has always driven Dodge Trucks (still have two). Thought I'd like to drive a SUV, and the Journey Crossroad appears to be exactly what I want. Just sitting and waiting for mine to get to Huntsville, Al. Will post pictures WHEN I can get my fingers on the steering wheel!!!
  24. Thanks Journeyman425 for the update. Getting closer to Huntsville, GREAT!
