  1. Hi, Magnus from Stockholm, Sweden. My Volvo XC70 lost a tire at the highway this summer so it got totally damaged. So instead of a new XC70 and a deliverytime for some month I looked at alternatives, testdrived the Freemont and it was a lot of car for the money w direct delivery, that it was a sale promotion for the Black Code edition did it even more attractive. Navigation Rear view cam Leather seats Alpine audio w sub 170 hp (diesel) w aut DVD and bluetooth AWD Black 19” rims Black rearmirror houses Black grill Black headlightframes Black skid plate Black rails Black handles 3 extra high beams What I was told is the difference between Freemont and the Journey 1st the engine alternatives. In mine it is a 170hp 2 liters FIAT diesel. Little to weak but soon enough i will upgrade the software. The absorbers is harder in the EU version, almost a little bumpy in slow speeds but excellent on bad roads. The interial is different in EU version, dont know what actually. They have kept the stupidity to not be able to use uconnect while driving and it is not possible with voice control in the NAV together w swedish maps, so now I have to stop every time I have to change the destination, really enoying and it seems that there isnt any 3rd party product that can unlock the factory block. When i have tried to get support from FIAT central they only asks me to call a Dodge dealer. The issue is that in sweden we have no longer a dodge dealer more then the distributor that also distributes FIAT, so catch 22. So I put my faith into this forum and i belive that there is more knowhow in this area then in the swedish service centres together. //Cheers M
  2. I just got myself a brand new Fiat Freemont alias Journey, black edition. After browsing around at the web I notice that there seems not to be any Haynes or similar book that tells how the car is added. I found at this forum how to remove the grill so I could attach aux lights but there has to be some kind of tech book that illustrates where and how to demount the car? Right now i would like to remove the plastic cover in the roof that normally have the buttons for sunroof, it is really stuck so the question is if its just to bend very hard or if there is a hidden screw somewhere? Anyone got any ideas??
