It probably takes the signal from the led once it is activated and gives out 12 volts to the harness. My theory.

So the only way is to flash the computer? I'm wondering how the computer knows we install a three way.... Resistance?

Hi guys, I know there are alot of threads probably regarding my next question but I'm at work and haven't got the time to read through them for the moment. I installed the curt wiring harness. The turn signals have power on them when using them but the tail lights won't give me any power. I have my 14.xx volts upto the box that comes with the Curt 56154 unit. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks guys! I appreciate you taking time to help me out.

Hey FrogBox, Nice post! My newly acquired used Journey just started to shake when i brake and i found your upgrade to be the best solution to fix this issue, which seems to be recuring if you replace with OEM parts. This upgrade will still fit with my 17 inch steel black rims for winter tires???
