  1. My 2011 Mainstreet was ready for tires. Decided to go with Goodyear Assurance Eco Max. I got a good deal on them and installed them at my shop. They claim 2-3 MPG improvement over standard non-LRR tires. I just installed them Wednesday so I haven't really had time to see if they really work. They feel way better than the Kumhos, but they were well worn. Being as it's my wife's car I very rarely drive it (I've got an 03 Civic Si as my toy). However, on the weekends we take her car if we decide to go anywhere. Over the last 3 weeks, she's averaged (according to the on board computer) 19.9 miles per gallon. Not great, but she only works about 5 miles from home. So no Highway driving, just mostly stop and go traffic. Anyways, I'll try and update this thread with her gas mileage and also the performance of the tires. Being as it's our weekend cruiser I'm just trying to get the most mileage I can out of every tank.
  2. My Journey just hit 30,000 miles and the tires are junk. Fronts are worse than the back but all four are rough. It's a 2011 Mainstreet that I bought back in November. I've got 4 new Goodyears that I'm going to install tomorrow. Hopefully they last longer than the stockers did.
  3. I just had a similar experience with my Journey. Took it in for service and a couple days later my wife complained about a burning plastic smell. I don't drive the car but I decided to bring it to work one day (I work in a body shop) so I could throw it on a lift. The smell was overwhelming with the windows down. I put it in the air and discovered plastic all over the exhaust (right before the cat). Apparently my wife hit a plastic bag and it melted to the pipe, causing a nasty plastic smell. Not sure if that's what is going on but it's probably worth it to check underneath the car.
  4. As the title states, I just purchased a Dodge Journey. My wife had a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and it was time to upgrade. So we traded it towards a 2011 Journey Mainstreet with 26,000 miles. I work for a dealership so I got it for a heck of a deal. I don't really care for the color (I think it's called white gold or something) but the wife loves it. Hopefully it treats her well in the years to come.
