Keal Vigil

We have a '12 Journey AWD. The inputs for the USB/AUX don't seem to work very well. When the iPhone is plugged it plays find but there is a lot of static. When plugged in to the Aux input it's just a digital mess. The audio is all scrambled. We also had similar issue with a Jeep Compass. Anyone else have this problem?
